Kelly Curtis, the former Pearl Jam manager who retired in 2020, has exclusively partnered with Fandiem to run a fundraising sweepstakes campaign to benefit the Global Citizen Curtis Fellowship, whose mission is to equip students between the ages of 18-21 years old with the tools to become change makers and ethical leaders. The Curtis Fellowship delivers through collective and engaged experiences and a learner based program, “each one, teach one”.

Fans who donate to the Global Citizen Curtis Fellowship are automatically entered to win his original RIAA-Certified Pearl Jam ‘Ten’ Gold Record, which Curtis graciously donated for this special benefit campaign.

“‘Ten’ was our first record and the gold meant that we were on our way. It was a big deal to go gold. And then of course it went on to sell close to 20 million worldwide,” said Kelly Curtis. “I have been very fortunate in my life with the opportunities I've had and people I've gotten to know. That's only happened because I was given chances and put in the right place to find success. I am inspired by the next generation and want to invest in them and help connect young people to the resources I had so they can make the impact they seek in the world.”

For as little as $10, participants can “Donate To Win” this prize, which includes:

●     RIAA-certified Pearl Jam ‘Ten’ gold record award commemorating the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the album, cassette and CD

The fan-sourcing fundraising sweepstakes is running until August 4, 2022 and fans can “Donate To Win” exclusively at www.fandiem.com/pearljam.

The more fans donate the more chances they have to win – and the more they support the Global Citizen Curtis Fellowship.

Charitable fundraising platform Fandiem and live music discovery platform Bandsintown are proud to announce Giving 2022, a star-studded fundraising effort featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences and unique prizes provided by some of the biggest artists in the world in support of their chosen nonprofits. More than 30 artists have joined the effort to engage and inspire their fans to give back during this global generosity movement, as part of GivingTuesday (November 29, 2022).

Participating artists have donated premium collectibles or personal experiences for fans to win through curated sweepstakes and auctions — including signed guitars and memorabilia from Pearl Jam, Dead & Company, Dave Matthews Band, The Killers, Phish, OneRepublic, My Morning Jacket, Hozier, Rob Thomas, and The Black Keys, and experiences such as a VIP trip to see Miranda Lambert live in Las Vegas, a backstage experience with Slightly Stoopid at Cali Vibes Festival, and dinner and All Access passes with Papa Roach.  Artists have selected charitable organizations to benefit including HeadCount, Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation, Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation, Jack Johnson’s Johnson Ohana Foundation, Rock To Recovery, Imagine Dragons’ Tyler Robinson Foundation, and more.

“There’s real magic created in the community formed between artists and fans,” says Fandiem’s Co-Founder Jared Heiman. “Fandiem was designed to harness that power of connection into real world impact. What better time for us to join together to help others than during the holidays when caring is in the air? In the true holiday spirit, some everyday fans will receive unbelievable presents and give back in the process.”

The Giving 2022 online fundraiser will kick off on November 29, 2022 on the Fandiem online platform (www.fandiem.com/giving2022) and extend into January 2023, with information on all artist-donated prizes and partner charitable organizations. Those who donate $100 or more will also receive an exclusive limited edition Giving 2022 tote bag

Fandiem’s successful fan-driven fundraising campaigns have disrupted traditional fundraising and changed the way fans support charities. Focusing on micro-donations, Fandiem’s “Donate To Win” functionality greatly increases revenue to nonprofits by encouraging people to give what they can. Built to harness the power of the fan community to do good in the world, Fandiem has since expanded that mission to support over 75 nonprofit organizations through the participation of hundreds of thousands of fans and more than 200 winners of one-of-a-kind prizes — including backstage experiences and shared moments with beloved artists. Funds have been raised for a range of charities supporting equal justice initiatives, military veterans, fighting homelessness, cancer research and care, LGBTQ+ rights, providing healthcare for musicians, shoring up struggling venues, mental health issues, and more.

In 2021, Bandsintown launched Bandsintown for Good as a way to activate their 74+ million users in an ongoing mission to make the world a better place through the power of live music. Since then, the initiative has partnered with Global Citizen to take action for equality and the environment around the world, and with Tyler Robinson Foundation to support pediatric cancer families with out-of-pocket life expenses. Bandsintown and Fandiem teamed up for the first time during GivingTuesday 2021 and decided to enter a year long partnership of doing good after realizing how much more they can accomplish together. Bandsintown and Fandiem have since inspired fans to donate over $1.1M to 25+ artist-selected nonprofits such as VetsAid, The Trevor Project, GLAAD and To Write Love On Her Arms.
"Live music has the ability to connect people around the issues that are most important to them," said Fabrice Sergent, Managing Partner of Bandsintown. "We're committed to making sure music fans know about the causes artists care about and giving them the opportunities to donate. Together with Fandiem, we're proud of the impact we've made over the last year, rallying fans to raise more than $1M in donations. We're excited to continue with Giving 2022."
