Howdy Halloween freakers, Vince Herman here! The Salmon are swimming into the Fillmore again for a wild night of music, costumes, debauchery and late night parading down Colfax!

Next Saturday is our Zombie Jamboree at the Fillmore Auditorium! We will be celebrating Halloween with Todd Snider featuring Great American Taxi opening the show. There will also be a costume contest with a great grand prize, see details below.

On Friday October 29th the debauchery begins with the Drew Emmitt Band and Great American Taxi featuring Todd Snider. We're performing a kickoff party to the Halloween weekend at the Gothic Theatre In Englewood. This holiday is just too much fun for one show, so come out and make a weekend of it.

I’ll be hosting the KBCO Groove Show this Saturday! It’s a jamband show on a mainstream FM station. Hippies are taking over everywhere! Check it out on the web or on your radio here in Boulder. This Saturday from 10pm-12am tune in to 97.3 KBCO Boulder/Denver or on the web at www.kbco.com.  Turn up, Drop in, Freak out!!

Salmon is in its twentieth year of having you great folks to play for! We are eternally grateful for your ears and your time, and hope you all have a great holiday!

See you all soon,

Vince Herman

KBCO/Denver-Boulder announced today the retirement of Ginger Havlat, who is on the air as Ginger, from middays. Ginger’s last day on-air will be Saturday, December 31, 2022. Ginger has flourished as a beloved companion for radio listeners in the Denver area for 40 years, introducing music lovers to countless new songs and artists, many of which are now part of the fabric of their lives. She has also shared her personal perspective on everything Denver, including cultural events, the beauty of the natural environment, entertainment and music.

“Since its inception in 1988, I’ve hosted hundreds of live sessions in KBCO Studio C and interviewed so many talented musicians,” said Ginger. “I had the wonderful opportunity to be among the first to interview artists like Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow and Brandi Carlile early in their careers. As a self-proclaimed Beatlemaniac, my most cherished career moment was interviewing Paul McCartney backstage at Folsom Field in 1993. What I valued most about my years on the air at KBCO was sharing and connecting with our audience. I recently had a listener say that ‘you are us,’ which meant so much, as I always wanted to be a friend on the other side of the speaker.”
