I have to say I was extremely impressed with the opening 3 tracks "Bloody Good Time”, “What Would Iggy Do” and an impressive Cat Stevens remake “Wild World”. They made quite the first impression with me. Each one possessed my full unadulterated attention. To be honest: I expected cheesy Singer Songwriter Pop cut from the same cloth as say a Jason Mraz, Muse or Rob Thomas. Not that there’s anything wrong with Jason Mraz or Rob Thomas, I just want to hear something new and different and something that will shake the tree a bit. Really I’m up for anything at this point. What I discovered blew me out of my chair. The whole CD is a breath of fresh air and is full of what I would call rocked out energy with pop-style music that appeals to so many different senses on so many different levels. It reminds me of The Minus Five, Parachute and The Black Crows. I can also hear the slight Psychedelic-Funk-Americana influence in there as well. What I really like about What Would Iggy Do is there is no attempt to deliver what I call over the top pop. Cheezy music with a handsome face via top flight sampling, cookie cutter songwriting via a mix that sounds more like a commercial than a piece of music. Bloody Good Time also appeals to both many different kinds of rockers. Whatever kind of listening level you’re on – Punk, Alternative Rock, Rock, Americana some will identify with things while others will not. Weather it’s musically, lyrically, inspirationally, emotionally, spiritually - if you feel like music is taking us in the wrong direction than rest assured What Would Iggy Do is taking us back in the right direction with “Bloody Good Time."What Would Iggy Do affirmed my faith in good music again. They represents all that is magical, real and good in music and their latest EP delivers a highly passionate 6 track catalog via rock solid playing, amazing songwriting and music that covers all the bases: Rock, Pop and Psychedelic-Funk-Americana.

"I have to say I was extremely impressed with the opening 3 tracks “The Rumors”, Mysterious” and the title track. All 3 songs made quite the first impression on me as each one possessed my full unadulterated attention eager for what was ahead. To be honest: I expected cheesy Pop Rock that was extremely predictable and shallow in nature – very compatible for a mass audience. Well shame on me because what I discovered was actually quite the opposite. The whole CD is full of what I would call powerful musical energy with musical styles that appeals to so many different senses on so many different levels. It reminds me of Neil Diamond, Robert John, and Michael Buble. I can also hear the slight Big Band-Jazz-Pop-rock influence in there as well like Chicago and Robbie Dupree. What I really like about Humble is there is no attempt to sugar coat the truth or deliver what I call over the top pop rock. Cheezy music with a handsome face via top flight sampling, cookie cutter songwriting via a mix that sounds more like a commercial than a piece of music. Weather it’s musically, lyrically, inspirationally, emotionally, spiritually – “Wonderful You” covers it all.E.G.
