Noah Kahan is a 20 year old American songwriter from the small town of Strafford, Vermont (population 1,000) with an amazing voice and a true gift for song-craft and storytelling - think Ed Sheeran meets The Lumineers. After deferring his acceptance at Tulane University to focus on songwriting, Noah found himself attracting the attention of some of the best songwriters in the world, including Joel Little (who co-wrote and produced the entire first Lorde album and who worked with him on much of his soon to be released music). Fans of Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, James Bay, or Vance Joy will definitely be into him, but Noah would say his influences also include Paul Simon, Sufjan Stevens, and Ray Lamontagne. I have a streaming link to the track again below along with a streaming and download link to all his other currently unreleased music.

Check out Noah's new video, "Young Blood."

Two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Rod Stewart will release his 30th solo album Blood Red Roses, which critics and fans around the world are raving about experiencing as a complete album collection today and live in concerts during Stewart’s sold-out North American summer tour. Released today by Republic Records in the U.S. on CD, vinyl, digital download and across streaming platforms, Blood Red Roses’ release has been heralded by first single “Didn’t I,” which scored Stewart his 23rd Top 10 Hit on the Billboard AC airplay chart.

Stewart kicked off his album release with Rod Stewart Radio on SiriusXM, an addictive limited run station on Channel 30 through Sept. 30.  Fans can listen for free on the SiriusXM app HERE.  He embarks on a trans-Atlantic promotional run for Blood Red Roses beginning in the UK this week with performances on Graham Norton (BBC1) on Sept 28thand The One Show (BBC1) on Oct. 1st before stateside interviews Oct. 3 on NBC TODAY Show, The Big Interview with Dan Rather on Oct. 9, and an interview and special outdoor concert performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Oct.10 – before resuming his North American tour with 11-concerts Oct.14 in St. Paul, MN; Nov. 21 – Dec. 3 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and on his just announced European stadium tour next year.

Blood Red Roses is offered as a 13-track standard and a 16-track deluxe album.  This new album, his first in three years, follows international bestsellers Another Country (2015) and Time (2013) and will be released nearly 50 years to the date of when he signed his very first solo recording contract.  Co-produced by Stewart’s long-term collaborator Kevin Savigar, Blood Red Roses moves easily from acoustic-driven folk through Motown-tinged pop/R&B to unadulterated rock’n’roll and heart-melting ballads.

Blood Red Roses was made in a most un-rock star-like fashion – “Most of these songs were recorded trans-Atlantic,” Stewart explains, opting mostly to record with his band while on tour. “It was all done in hotel rooms or backstage after concerts. We’d stay behind for a couple of hours and if we were in the mood we’d do some recording. It’s a great way to make a record. It meant that you’re not locked in one space for months on end. We never really went near a traditional recording studio which I think was great. I’ve spent too many years locked in dull studios, not wanting to be in there. I always think I make albums for a few friends, and this record has that intimacy.”

Anthem of the Peaceful Army (Lava Records/Republic Records), the full-length debut by Frankenmuth, Michigan's Greta Van Fleet, enters the Billboard Top Album Sales chart at #1.  The album also came in at #1 on Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and #3 on Billboard 200 chart.  In addition, the album made impressive international debuts:  #1 in Canada, #3 in Germany, Top 10 in Australia and New Zealand, and Top 15 in the UK.

“Music has always been a centerpiece in all four of our lives,” said the band’s Jake Kiszka, "even when we were very young, when we first started hearing our parents’ blues, folk, and R&B records. So to be able to create the music we love, that so many people are hearing and responding to, is truly an honor.”

Fri, 12/07/2018 - 12:35 pm

In what has been a full-tilt year for this young rock'n'roll band from Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greta Van Fleet sees 2018 capped off with its first ever Grammy Award nominations:  Best New Artist, Best Rock Song for "Black Smoke Rising," Best Rock Performance for "Highway Tune," and Best Rock Album for the band's double EP, From The Fires  (Lava Records/ Republic Records).

"We are all so very honored and humbled to have been nominated for a Grammy Award, and so appreciative for the love and support we get from our fans, because we do what we do for them.  All of the wonderful things that have happened to us over the past year, including these nominations, is because of our fans, The Peaceful Army."  -- Greta Van Fleet

To share this honor and as a way to say thank you to their fans, $1 from every ticket to the band's upcoming three, sold-out shows at the Fox Theatre in Detroit (December 27, 29, 30) will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation on behalf of The Peaceful Army.

From The Fires claimed the #1 spot on Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart in November, 2017, and includes the band's break-out single, "Highway Tune" that spent five consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, and "Black Smoke Rising" with nearly 24-million streams.

Greta Van Fleet - twin brothers Josh (vocals) and Jake Kiszka (guitar), both 22, younger brother Sam (bass/keys, 19), and longtime family friend Danny Wagner (drums, 19) - made their national debut on March 31, 2017 with the release of the "Highway Tune" music video.  Since then, the band has been on a wild ride of sold-out concerts throughout North America and Europe, racked up tens of millions of YouTube video plays and audio streams, received glowing accolades from iconic artists like Elton John, Dave Grohl and Joe Satriani, and recorded two #1 EPs.  They were named one of Rolling Stone's "10 Artists You Need to Know," and performed with Elton John at his annual Academy Awards viewing party. The band's debut album Anthem of the Peaceful Army (10-19-18), debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Album Sales and Top Rock Albums charts, and at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart.  Greta Van Fleet's music is a high-energy hybrid of rock'n'roll, blues and soul, loaded with attitude, bravado, killer musical chops and a singer whose voice will drop your jaw.  Greta Van Fleet's shared message with their music is to spread peace, love and unity.

Seattle-based all female rock band Thunderpussy shares a fiery cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “Somebody To Love” today, ahead of a Supreme Court case on April 15 that will determine the fate of trademarking their name. Of the song, the band says, “At a time when it feels like empathy and compassion are lost and the polarization of thoughts and ideas is paramount, maybe it’s time to stop looking for someone to blame and instead find someone to love.“

LISTEN TO "SOMEBODY TO LOVE" HERE!

The song follows the release of Thunderpussy’s self-titled debut album last year via Stardog Records/Republic Records, which Pearl Jam's Mike McCready lent guitar and production on, calling them his "favorite new band." Listen to Thunderpussy HERE!

In May 2015, Thunderpussy applied for a US trademark to protect their name and brand in preparation for world domination. A short time later, they received a letter from the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) denying the band their trademark on the grounds that their name was “immoral” and “scandalous” per the guidelines laid down in the Truman-era Lanham Act of 1946, even citing Urban Dictionary as a credible source as to why the word pussy is regarded as a derogatory term.

The band’s fate now depends on the outcome of a new case, Iancu v. Brunetti, which will be argued at the Supreme Court on April 15, 2019, where Eric Brunetti will be defending his clothing brand, FUCT, a case he’s been fighting for nearly 20 years.

Two years ago, Asian-American band The Slants won their case based on the argument that they were reappropriating an ethnic slur and turning it into a badge of pride. Similarly, as women, Thunderpussy’s intention has always been to shed a positive light on a word that has been used in a derogatory manner and seen as a joke or weak. Because it is exactly the opposite - the word pussy is powerful.

Catch Thunderpussy on tour in North America this summer with Black Pistol Fire, see the upcoming list of tour dates below. Stay tuned for more from Thunderpussy!

JP Cooper follows the rapid success of debut album ‘Raised Under Grey Skies’ with ‘Sing It With Me’ ft. Astrid S – his first release of 2019.

Today, JP unleashes an acoustic version of the single, which is as stunning and exposed as you would imagine, showcasing the true grit of JP’s unmistakable vocal. A deft songwriter and a singer with soulful brilliance, JP Cooper has a rich era-spanning appreciation of music, and an innate need to turn life experiences into narrative.

Never shy of working with other artists, ‘Sing It With Me,' is the most joyous of collaborations. With voices that meld together into one, the harmonies complement each other in all the right ways. Slowly adding layers, the track begins with the soulful vocals of Cooper and eventually builds up to an explosive chorus that commands the attention of any room. The perfect soundtrack for the dance floor or a day on the beach, 'Sing It With Me' can translate to any occasion. With a driving beat and passionate vocals, the track has an infectious energy that leaves listeners captivated by the duo.

On the new release JP adds: “I’m pretty sure that the reason most guys pick up a guitar and write a song for the first time, it’s usually down to a girl. ‘Sing It With Me’ is a song about just that. It’s the idea of writing a song for somebody that you didn’t quite have the courage to simply say hi to.
It’s a romanticised version of that I guess, only this time the guy gets the girl (for me in reality I’d likely record it 50 times only to decide it’s terrible and scrap it). I wanted to feature an artist with an incredibly sweet voice and Astrid S fit the bill perfectly. I was so excited to hear her on the track and she definitely delivered. I tried my best to write a chorus that was almost as infectious as ‘Baby Shark’ but very quickly realised that it was impossible. Overall, I think it turned out pretty well.”

With two UK Top Ten singles to his name, the Jonas Blue smash ‘Perfect Strangers’ which he co-wrote and the inescapable radio hit ‘September Song’ (which has HAD over 350 million streams worldwide), JP has notched up an incredible 10 million single units worldwide, and an extraordinary 1 billion streams. HIS album also contained the infectious, ‘She’s on My Mind’, the gospel tinged, soaring ‘Passport Home’ and ‘Momma’s Prayers’ a collaboration with Stormzy.

No stranger to the live arena, JP has already sold out shows at London’s most famous venues including The Village Underground, Koko, 02 Forum Kentish Town, 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the aforementioned Roundhouse.

Following the fantastic ‘Ordinary People’ collaboration with Bugzy Malone in 2018, and the stunning serenade of the ‘Cheerleader’ demo at the end of last year, JP has his sights firmly set on reclaiming his masterful crown, with more new music pencilled to be released before the year is through.

JP Cooper European Dates 2019:

October 8th – Academy 2, Manchester

In a letter penned by Seth Avett, Grammy Award®-nominated collective THE AVETT BROTHERS revealed today that they will be releasing their new album, Closer Than Together [American/Republic Records], on Friday, October 4, 2019. Read the mission statement for Closer Than Together here and below. The first single from the record “High Steppin’” was also released today along with its official music video.

Listen to “High Steppin’” HERE and watch the official music video HERE.

The mission statement touches on the inspiration behind the upcoming album, pulling from feelings about the current state of the world and observations reflected from the band’s own experiences. Seth Avett describes, “The last thing the world needs is another piece of sociopolitical commentary... We didn’t make a record that was meant to comment on the sociopolitical landscape that we live in. We did, however, make an album that is obviously informed by what is happening now on a grander scale all around us…because we are a part of it and it is a part of us…The Avett Brothers will probably never make a sociopolitical record. But if we did, it might sound something like this.” Read the full letter below

The video for “High Steppin’” shows Scott Avett as a “rhinestone cowboy” and Seth Avett as what some could describe as “death” as his passenger. The two ride together and encounter a stop in the road where Bob Crawford and steppers are waiting for them. In a spoken word interlude Seth Avett notes that “you can only live one day at a time, only drive one hot rod at a time, only say one word at a time, only think one thought at a time….” A meaningful commentary on life that finishes with a hopeful ending.

Heralding the album’s impending arrival, THE AVETT BROTHERS continue on a string of tour dates throughout the year including three sold out nights at Red Rocks, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles (August 22nd), and performances at Bonnaroo, Mountain Jam, and more. Not to mention their recently announced (and sold out) The Avett Brothers at the Beach four night festival in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, February 27-March 2nd.  See their full tour dates here: www.theavettbrothers.com/tour

MISSION STATEMENT: CLOSER THAN TOGETHER

The last thing the world needs is another piece of sociopolitical commentary. We, as a species that boasts at least some semblance of consciousness, are entering an odd new form of fatigue: one that encompasses not only our observance of the behavior of others (nefarious and otherwise), but also our seemingly unlimited endurance to loudly judge and wax philosophically about it. Of course, in each instance, regardless of its nature or circumstance, our own personal opinions are presented as the clear, correct, and only perspective on any given subject. We speak as if we are not one body, though we are. We judge as if we don’t value the judgment of others upon us, though we do. We forget to put our feet into the shoes of our neighbor, and curse them for making the same ancient mistake.

My brother and I have never been more aware of our own failings in the department of golden-rule navigation. We see it in ourselves and we are accustomed to seeing it in our neighborhood, our state, our country, our planet. We speak daily with each other about the lunacy of the world in which we live… the beauty of it, the mystery of it, the hilarity and the unspeakable calamity of it. We talk about God and community and evil and what forgiveness is and what it means to aim for unconditional love in a land (and body) full of conditions. Sometimes we feel better just from speaking about it with a loved one. Sometimes we don’t and we go to our little bunks on the tour bus and continue to process the latest example of fear-inducing news that our phones have indiscriminately handed us. We then simultaneously endeavor to forgive ourselves for being in the fortunate position of having bunks in a tour bus to lie down on. In whatever way we process both personal and universally-affecting events, at some point, these conversations grow melodies and find themselves stepping back into our lives in the forms of songs.

As our records tend to be, the newest - entitled ‘Closer Than Together’ - is certainly led by the personal narrative of our own lives. In this way, there is no massive departure from our continued artistic language. This chapter however, perhaps in part because of our age or our time, wanders inevitably into hallways both social and political. These are songs developed through and inspired by not only what we see inside our homes and our travels, but by the connections we are blessed to nourish, the conversations by which we are surprised and intrigued, and by the far-reaching experiences of our distant brothers and sisters. We are family men with good and evil in our hearts, and the pains and joys in this world are mirrored on the small scale of our own personal existence. The songs herein are reflections of what we are. ‘We’ meaning Scott and me. ‘We’ meaning this family and this band. ‘We’ meaning the strangers we’ve had (and will have) the honor of encountering all over the world. ‘We’ meaning ‘We the People'.

We didn’t make a record that was meant to comment on the sociopolitical landscape that we live in. We did, however, make an album that is obviously informed by what is happening now on a grander scale all around us...because we are a part of it and it is a part of us. ‘Closer Than Together’ is a record of obvious American origin - a creation that fittingly could only come about through hard work, measured freedom, awe-inspiring landscapes, and perfectly flawed individualism.

The Avett Brothers will probably never make a sociopolitical record. But if we did, it might sound something like this.

Check out The Avett Brothers new song “Bang Bang” HERE and watch the official music video HERE.

The song & official music video (directed by Academy Award Winning director Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom, Won’t You be My Neighbor?)  highlights the group’s storytelling and songwriting process with images of the band first putting pen to paper creating the new song and follows them to the stage performing “Bang Bang” in front of a massive audience. All the while the song’s lyrics embody a desire for a better world for the next generation, one with less violence and more togetherness.

Recently, the boys took the stage at Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! on ABC for an unforgettable debut performance of their single “High Steppin’” and recent song “Trouble Letting Go.”

“High Steppin’” has continued to climb as it held the #1 spot on the Americana Radio Singles Chart for seven out of the eleven weeks it’s been on the chart, reached Top 10 at Triple A Radio and its music video continues to be a fan favorite with its uncharacteristic dance routine! The Avett Brothers first played Red Rocks at the Monolith Festival in 2008 and then again in 2010 while opening for Gov’t. Mule, prior to embarking on their own run of headlining shows at the revered Amphitheatre in the Rockies.

The shows come in support of their recent full-length album, Closer Than Together, which they released earlier this year to critical acclaim. Check out Closer Than Together HERE.

In addition, the band recently announced they will be joining the legendary Ringo Starr And His All Starr Band in Spring 2020. See full list of upcoming tour dates for The Avett Brothers here: www.theavettbrothers.com/tour

Pearl Jam will release their much-anticipated eleventh studio album, Gigaton, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records on March 27, 2020 in the US. Internationally, the album will be released and distributed by Universal Music Group. Produced by Josh Evans and Pearl Jam, Gigaton marks the band’s first studio album since GRAMMY award-winning Lightning Bolt, which was released on October 15, 2013.

Gigaton is available for pre-order now at www.pearljam.com. The first single, “Dance of the Clairvoyants”, will be released in the coming weeks.

“Making this record was a long journey,” explains Mike McCready. “It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times."

Gigaton’s cover features Canadian photographer, filmmaker, and marine biologist Paul Nicklen’s photo “Ice Waterfall.” Taken in Svalbard, Norway, this image features the Nordaustlandet ice cap gushing high volumes of meltwater.

In support of Gigaton, Pearl Jam will embark on their first leg of North American tour dates in March and April. The 16-date tour kicks-off on March 18 in Toronto and wraps with a two-date stint in Oakland April 18-19. Full tour dates follow.

Farm Aid, the non-profit organization whose mission is to build a vibrant, family farm-centered system of agriculture in America, and AXS TV, the premier U.S. cable channel for music programming, presents a special broadcast of At Home With Farm Aid, featuring performances by acclaimed artists and Farm Aid Board Members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews, on Saturday, April 11, starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

The hour-long live event reunites Farm Aid president Willie Nelson, joined by his sons Lukas and Micah, with fellow music legends and Farm Aid board members Mellencamp, Young, and Matthews for an intimate performance to raise funds and awareness for farmers impacted by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The unique concert captures the quartet as they each tune in from their own homes and studios to deliver an unforgettable night of music that viewers will not want to miss. At Home With Farm Aid airs as part of AXS TV’s new “@Home And Social” initiative—an ongoing series giving artists a platform to broadcast live performances from their homes and studios directly to their fans, with proceeds supporting those in need as a result of the coronavirus. Viewers can enjoy the simulcast on AXS TV and at www.farmaid.org, as well as across the Network’s various social media platforms. .

For more than three decades, Farm Aid has worked diligently to build a dynamic family farm-centered agricultural system benefiting farms both big and small. Now, with COVID-19 presenting farmers across the country with a new set of challenges to overcome, Farm Aid is responding immediately to invest in farmer-led solutions to the COVID-19 crisis; make emergency grants to farmers and ranchers in need; create comprehensive resources for farmers; connect farmers to legal, financial, and mental health support resources; support local, state, and national farm organizations; and advocate for COVID-19 recovery funds and resources from the federal government for short-term relief and long-term resilience. To make a donation so that Farm Aid can support and strengthen our farmers, please visit www.farmaid.org/donate.

"The coronavirus has disrupted our entire country and is a grave threat to all of us. One of its many impacts is that it has helped us to better see the value of essential people like healthcare workers, grocery store clerks, delivery truck drivers, and farmers and ranchers," said Farm Aid president Willie Nelson. "Farm Aid has worked for 35 years to build a family farm centered agricultural system, and we are here now to support farmers and ranchers in this crisis, without whom we could not eat. The time to build a resilient family farm food system is now!" .

“Farmers have given so much to America,” said Sarah Weidman, Head of Original Programming, Development and Multi-Platform Content for AXS TV. “With COVID-19 putting the farming industry to the ultimate test, it’s our turn to give back. AXS TV is proud to continue our partnership with Farm Aid to bring our viewers this incredible event, hosted by four of rock, country, and folk’s most influential icons. We hope that it will provide some much-needed entertainment during this time, while also informing people everywhere of the crisis impacting our farmers, the essential services farmers bring us, and what people can do to help.” .

Additionally, viewers can relive powerhouse performances from Nelson, Mellencamp, Young, Matthews and more when AXS TV presents The Best Of Farm Aid 2019 on Sunday, April 12, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The two-and-a-half-hour special compiles footage from AXS TV’s live broadcast of the 2019 festival, giving viewers the best seat in the house for hit-packed sets from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Tanya Tucker, Margo Price, Yola and Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, among others, as well as Bonnie Raitt’s previously-unaired performance of “Devil Got My Woman”—seen now for the first time on television. .

Today, Glass Animals have released their hugely anticipated third album ‘Dreamland’ into the world. ‘Dreamland’, which has been released via Republic Records, is available everywhere now. Listen HERE.

It’s been a whirlwind 2020 for Glass Animals – the UK’s truly original and hugely loved band who confidently set out their stall for their fervently anticipated third album with first single ‘Your Love (Déjà vu)’ in February. After subsequently setting off on an impressive run of tour dates to celebrate the new music, everything the Dave Bayley fronted four-piece thought was in full motion was bought abruptly to a halt and along with the rest of the world, Glass Animals were sent into full lockdown.

However, being the uniquely creative band that they are, the last 4 months have seen them adapt to the new normal – conjuring up new ways to connect with their international fanbase and bring some distraction and innovation in difficult times. They’ve released a series of ingenious covers, built their own Open-Source website, created their very own TV network and made some jaw-droppingly inventive music videos – all while, crucially, inviting people into the enchanted world of ‘Dreamland and revealing their brilliant new album via songs like ‘Heat Waves’, ‘Dreamland’ and ‘It’s All So Incredibly Loud’.

At the heart of ‘Dreamland’ lies the quietly enigmatic Dave Bayley, the band’s frontman and producer extraordinaire whose work extends far beyond that of Glass Animals, with credits including Joey Bada$$, Flume, Wale, Khalid and most recently Denzel Curry on the late 2019 single ‘Tokyo Drifting’.   For Bayley, ‘Dreamland’ is a nostalgic memoir of his life so far, covering expansive and difficult ground and holding nothing back. It’s packed full of personal experiences, none more emotional than when the band’s drummer Joe Seaward was involved in a monstrous bike accident in July 2018 which threatened his life, and that of Glass Animals altogether.

As a result, ‘Dreamland’ is the band’s boldest album yet – a powerful and personal story that was born out of time of immense confusion and uncertainty for the band and as a result it’s an album that is very timely for the world today.

Greta Van Fleet, the GRAMMY-winning, GOLD-certified rock'n'roll band, shared their visionary new video for the song “Age of Machine” today. The video can be viewed HERE.

The video creates a new universe filled with symbolism and open to interpretation, with whispers of reflections on modernism. It is a response, a tiny piece of art in a very large conversation - four brothers and friends who spend very little time online, filled with questions - where is technology taking us, what does it all mean, and what are we trading in exchange? The video addresses the crumbling beauty around us, but leaves the final significance to the viewer - whether that narrative be focused on climate, industrialism, intimacy, self-confidence, tradition, humanity itself, or otherwise. The only clear concept in the video is that the band chooses life.

The “Age of Machine” music video was co-directed by Greta Van Fleet and Matthew Daniel Siskin. The new song released last Friday with the announcement of The Battle at Garden’s Gate, the band’s new album due April 16, 2021 (Lava/Republic Records).

Meanwhile, Matter Of Time includes emotionally charged and energetic at-home performances of classics “Porch” and “Just Breathe” captured for Amazon.

Check out the full tracklisting below.

He initially introduced Matter Of Time with the title track “Matter of Time” and “Say Hi.” Check out the animated music video for “Matter of Time” and live video for “Say Hi.” Fans may reserve the vinyl HERE and limited-edition event poster HERE (designed by renowned contemporary illustrator and artist Munk One, with all proceeds benefiting EBRP).

The event showcased uplifting stories about individuals and families living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) alongside appearances and performances from celebrity friends to educate viewers about EB and raise critical funds for research toward a cure for EB and other rare diseases.

Produced by Door Knocker Media and Seed Entertainment, an all-star cast of guests graced the show, namely Judd Apatow, Bradley Cooper, Laura Dern, Billie Eilish, Chris Hemsworth, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman, Gaten Matarazzo, Luis “King Kong” Ortiz, Adam Sandler, and Renée Zellweger. Meanwhile, Jon Batiste, Alessia Cara, Andra Day, Glen Hansard, Adam Levine, Keb’ Mo’, and Lukas, Micah and Willie Nelson delivered unforgettable and uplifting performances of their own.

EB is a life-threatening genetic disorder that affects approximately 500,000 people worldwide. Called “Butterfly Children” because their skin is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly, children with EB face severe pain, open external and internal wounds, and a grueling daily bandaging process. There is currently no treatment or cure for EB, however EBRP’s innovative Venture Philanthropy model is helping to fast-track not only a cure for EB, but therapies that could affect thousands of other rare diseases.

As the largest global organization supporting EB research, EBRP has funded 80 projects through their innovative model, directly impacting the clinical landscape. Through EBRP’s work, clinical trials for EB have increased by 15 times, including four Phase III clinical trials, the final phase before the FDA considers approval for a new therapy.

Hot on the heels of their fifth #1 at rock radio, GRAMMY®-winning band Greta Van Fleet today announce a luminous new single, “Heat Above.” It is the third track released from their forthcoming sophomore studio album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, produced by Greg Kurstin (Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Adele) and due out April 16 (Lava/Republic Records).  “Heat Above" is an ethereal track that opens with a Hammond B3 seeping in slowly to set the tone for a triumphant sonic build. You can listen to the song HERE

“There’s plenty of love left in this world, even though it may not seem like it,” said Sam Kiszka, bass/keys for Greta Van Fleet.  “And that’s what ‘Heat Above’ is about, rising to the stars together.".

The band first debuted the song with Zane Lowe on “The Zane Lowe Show” via Apple Music 1 in an interview where they discussed what it was like to work with a new producer, the personal growth they’ve seen over the last three years, and where in the world they’ve been in the extended downtime away from touring. In addition, they are the featured artist on New Music Daily on Apple Music today.

Greta Van Fleet’s new album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, is a reflection of their journey into the present. With string orchestras, explorative songs, and the band building a visual story with every track, it has an elevated elegance unseen yet from the young band. In three years, Greta Van Fleet (Josh Kiszka/vocals, Jake Kiszka/guitars, Sam Kiszka/bass & keys/Danny Wagner/drums) went from touring the grimy rock bars of Detroit and Saginaw to headlining shows on five continents with audiences triple their hometown’s population. The band that once attracted crowds of teens to improvised forest concerts, have now sold over one million tickets worldwide.

The twelve songs and symbols on The Battle at Garden’s Gate were revealed this week and  touch upon themes of freedom, self-empowerment, power in community, and respect for Mother Earth.

Greta Van Fleet presents a brand new music video for the song “Heat Above” from the band’s upcoming sophomore album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, produced by Greg Kurstin (Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Adele) and due out April 16 (Lava/Republic Records).  According to the band:

“‘Heat Above’ is theatrical, eloquent, and exaggerated.  This is a dream in the clouds, a moment of peace in the storm.  Thematically, we are dead center in the cult of Heaven, surreal, strange, alive and free.”

The band debuted the song last week in an interview with Zane Lowe, who said, “You aren’t ever going to hear anything like this today and probably in the near future, Greta Van Fleet doing it like nobody else.”

Today, Grammy Award-winning four-piece Greta Van Fleet unveil a live video for “Heat Above,” the latest track from their highly anticipated sophomore LP The Battle at Garden’s Gate, due April 16 via Lava/Republic. Watch/share the video filmed in Nashville HERE.

“‘Heat Above’ is theatrical, eloquent, and exaggerated,” explains the group. “This is a dream in the clouds, a moment of peace in the storm.  Thematically, we are dead center in the cult of Heaven, surreal, strange, alive and free.” Watch the official music video, which Rolling Stone hails as “heavenly,” HERE

The Battle at Garden’s Gate reflects heavily on the group’s personal and spiritual growth, as well as deepening empathy for the struggles and inequalities others are experiencing.

“We realized that while growing up, we had been shielded by many things,” describes drummer Danny Wagner. “As we started to travel a lot, meet new and different people and experience different cultures, our definition of 'normal' changed.” Bassist Sam Kiszka adds, “I suppose that everything has changed except what got us here in the first place…our perception of the world, perception of life itself, what it means to be an artist, what it means to be part of a beautiful, gorgeous society. We’ve gained a larger understanding of why we’re all here.”

The Battle at Garden’s Gate was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Greg Kurstin (Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Adele). “There was a lot of self-evolution happening during the writing of this album that was prompted by experiences I had, experiences we all had,” explains vocalist Josh Kiszka. “It’s reflecting a lot of the world that we’ve seen, and I think that it’s reflecting a lot of personal truth,” says guitarist Jake Kiszka.

“Certainly after this, we’ve grown in so many ways,” Josh explains. “This album has taught us a lot, about life in general, about ourselves, about all of us, about the world we live in.” Pre-order the album HERE.

Forming in Frankenmuth, Michigan back in 2012, Greta Van Fleet consists of three brothers, vocalist Josh Kiszka, guitarist Jake Kiszka, bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka, as well as drummer Danny Wagner. Together they have gone on to sell one million concert tickets across multiple continents, perform on “Saturday Night Live” and “The Tonight Show,” top the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts with their debut single “Highway Tune” in 2017, and win the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2019 for their debut full length album, From the Fires.

After causing a whole lot of chatter amongst audiences and critics alike, Lord Huron have begun to unwind the little riddle they’ve been spinning over the past few months and announce their fourth full-length album, LONG LOST, out May 21st via Whispering Pines Studios Inc./Republic Records featuring new single “MINE FOREVER.”

Pre-order Long Lost HERE, listen to “Mine Forever” HERE, and watch the official music video for “Mine Forever” (Directed by Anthony Wilson) HERE.

At the same time, the news only raises more questions. What can fans expect? What did the band lose and how long has it been lost? And who the hell is WBUB’s Mr. Tubbs Tarbell? All these questions (and more) have been brewing as easter eggs from the upcoming album have been revealed during Lord Huron’s Alive from Whispering Pines series.

During its first episode, viewers were introduced to Mr. Tubbs Tarbell, fell under the spell of commercials that may very well be lost tapes from the past, and were treated to some incredible performances by Lord Huron. The band played some old songs including “Meet Me In The Woods” (view video here) and provided a sneak peek at some new songs. The episode also featured a hotline where fans could call in and ask Mr. Tarbell questions and request songs from the band. Episode 2 included additional cryptic clues, more beautiful performances from Lord Huron (including  “The World Ender” and  “Frozen Pines”) and even the secret world premiere of “Mine Forever.” Last night on Alive From Whispering Pines, Lord Huron performed their triple-platinum single “The Night We Met” as well as fan favorites “Ghost on The Shore” and “Never Ever.”

To help answer all these lingering questions, Tubbs has put out an official letter into the multi-verse from Whispering Pines Studios describing the mythical tale of recording Long Lost with Lord Huron and the origins of its cosmic music. Read the full letter HERE and below.

Long Lost will also include previously released track "Not Dead Yet." The single has already racked up 1.5 million Spotify streams and 500K video views. Additionally, the guys hit the stage at Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! for a show-stopping television debut performance of “Not Dead Yet.” Watch it HERE. Spin claimed, “they sharpened their teeth,” while UPROXX described the track as “driving.” In addition to plugs from Stereogum and more, Brooklyn Vegan touted it among “Our Favorite Songs of the Week.” See full track list for Long Lost below.

Deepening the mystery of their current chapter, Lord Huron unveil a new song entitled “Long Lost” today. It stands out as the title track of their anxiously awaited fourth full-length album, LONG LOST, out May 21st via Whispering Pines Studios Inc./Republic Records. Listen to "Long Lost" HERE & watch the lyric video HERE

Pre-order Long Lost HERE.

The new tune hinges on cinematic strings, dusty tambourine, and soft acoustic guitar before transmitting a dreamy vocal. It nods to Spaghetti Western soundtracks and fifties pop in equal measure, as though Roy Orbison and Ennio Morricone finally got around to collaborating. Meanwhile, the accompanying music video further opens the window onto the expanding world of the album.

Lord Huron recently released album track “Mine Forever” to critical acclaim. In addition to gathering 1 million-plus streams, it also garnered plugs from Rolling Stone, Spin, Brooklyn Vegan, and more. The music video featured blurred faces of performers from Whispering Pines Studio and added more clues to the mystery behind Long Lost. Check out the video for “Mine Forever” Here!

Long Lost will also include previously-released single "Not Dead Yet." The track has already hit Top 5 at AAA Radio (the band’s fastest rise at radio to date), racked up 1.5 million Spotify streams and 500K video views. Legendary electronic music pioneers The Chemical Brothers return with new single “The Darkness That You Fear”.  The six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning duo —Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons— release the brand-new song today via Republic Records, the first new music since 2019’s critically acclaimed No Geography.

Listen to “The Darkness That You Fear”— HERE.

“The Darkness That You Fear” was first heard during Apple’s spring event held on Tuesday where the company announcement their new line up of products and services.

A limited 12” of the single will be available for Record Store Day on RSD Weekend June 12, 2021 with artwork by the late Cornwall-based abstract artist Sir Terry Frost.

Built around two distinct and disparate vocal samples and a woozy swirl of psychedelic sound, The Darkness That You Fear is the sonic equivalent of light at the end of the tunnel - a rush of hope and a pointer towards a brighter, more open future.

About “The Darkness That You Fear,” Tom Rowlands commented, “’The Darkness That You Fear’ is a hopeful piece of music. When we found the combination of the different voices worked set to the flow of the music, it made us feel optimistic—like it was something we wanted to share.”

A wildly hallucinogenic and beautifully evocative video for the track has been made by Ruffmercy, the Bristol based director who has previously worked with artists such as Thom Yorke, Run The Jewels and DJ Shadow.  Watch it HERE.

Ruffmercy comments, “When I first heard the song I immediately connected with the theme and the overall positive vibe. New government rules for relaxing lockdown had been announced and combined with the sun shining, it left me feeling positive about the forthcoming summer. It also triggered a strong sense of nostalgia that led to me going back to look for visual inspiration from the period in time when I first discovered The Chemical Brothers in the mid ’90’s. The video combines archive rave footage from the mid to late 90’s with hand painted Super 8 film textures and hand drawn animation. I love using colour to create chaos and evoke emotions and this was the perfect project to do that.”

Republic Record’s executive Glenn Mendlinger, who brought the duo to the label comments, “The Darkness You Fear marks the return of the mighty Chemical Brothers.  It is a classic Chemical Brothers opus that is psychedelic, lush and full of optimism.  Tom and Ed once again prove they are pioneers of the genre with this uplifting track that is perfectly timed as the world comes out of darkness into light and color.”

The song stands out as the first new music from the group since 2019's critically applauded No Geography, which earned widespread acclaim from Pitchfork [8.0], Consequence of Sound [B+], and The Quietus who summed it up best as “Amazing.” They concluded 2019 with a sold-out tour, climaxing on a hometown headliner at the iconic O2 Arena in London. Additionally, they architected the closing installation for Electronic - From Kraftwerk to The Chemical Brothers—the most popular exhibition London’s Design Museum has ever held.

Gearing up to hit the stage later this year, The Chemical Brothers have also been confirmed as Friday night headliners at this year’s Creamfields festival in Daresbury, Cheshire (26th - 29th August - the event has already sold out) and Sunday night headliners at TRNSMT in Glasgow.

Welcoming friends into the mysterious embrace of Whispering Pines Studios today, Lord Huron uncover a new single entitled “I Lied” [feat. Allison Ponthier]. It’s the latest tune to be shared from their anxiously awaited fourth full-length album, LONG LOST, out May 21st via Whispering Pines Studios Inc./Republic Records.

Pre-order Long Lost HERE, listen to “I Lied” HERE, and watch the official music video HERE.

Conjuring the ghosts of early sixties country and old school AM radio bliss all at once, “I Lied” unfurls as a heartbreakingly dreamy duet upheld by the interplay of Texas-born siren Allison Ponthier and Lord Huron. Awash in soft acoustic guitars and ethereal slide, it slips into a gripping hypnotic harmony punctuated by the trepidation of a breakup.

Today, award-winning actor, director, producer, writer, and chart-topping recording artist William Shatner announces his forthcoming new album, BILL, set for release on September 24th via Joe Jonas’ new label Let’s Get It! Records/Republic Records. To celebrate the announcement, William Shatner teams up with Joe Jonas and Brad Paisley to release the first two singles from the album, “Clouds of Guilt” feat. Joe Jonas and “So Far From the Moon” feat. Brad Paisley, out now.

LISTEN TO “CLOUDS OF GUILT” FEAT. JOE JONAS HERE
LISTEN TO “SO FAR FROM THE MOON” FEAT. BRAD PAISLEY HERE

Through spoken word and genre-bending music, the songs on BILL chronicle significant autobiographical moments in William Shatner’s life and the ideas, challenges, and questions he’s confronted along the way. The tracks were co-written and produced by Grammy Award-winner Dan Miller [They Might Be Giants], while the lyrics were a collaboration between Shatner and his friend and writer Robert Sharenow. In addition to Joe Jonas and Brad Paisley, BILL features guitarist Joe Walsh [James Gang, Eagles, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band], pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph [Robert Randolph and the Family Band], musician John Lurie, saxophonist Dave Koz, and more. See the full tracklist below.

On creating the album remotely during the pandemic, William Shatner says, “Through a series of phone calls, texts, and emails, music and words flew back and forth across the country. The [Covid-19] crisis created an urgency and quickly unleashed a candor between us that allowed us to peel back layers that sat on the surface of a subject to reveal the depth of truth buried underneath. What better time to contemplate life’s biggest questions than during a global pandemic? Some songs touched on painful or beautiful moments, while others turned into elliptical philosophical explorations about the very nature of existence and death.”

He continues, “BILL blends long-form autobiographical poetry and prose, music, spoken word performance art, and philosophical exploration. Toggling between passion and despair, reflection and yearning, this collection explores my life journey during a pivotal and chilling moment of history.”

On “Clouds of Guilt,” William Shatner explores the strangely powerful role guilt has played throughout his life, with equal measures of wit, irony, and self-awareness.

Joe Jonas states, “I’ve been a fan of Bill’s for as long as I can remember. He’s iconic. To not only be featured on one of his songs that mean so much to him but to also get to be a label partner on the entire project, it’s an honor.”

While on “So Far From the Moon,” William Shatner revisits a pivotal moment in his life after the cancelation of Star Trek and his divorce, when he was doing dinner theater and living out of the back of his pickup truck. One the night of July 20th, 1969, as he lay out in a sleeping bag in the back of the truck, staring at the sky, he listened to the live broadcast of the moon landing. Despite being at a low point in his career, Shatner found inspiration and a connection to the astronauts in the sky above, who he had met years before while they were training for their mission.

Brad Paisley comments, “It’s so interesting to hear what effect the moon landing had on Bill, because every generation of astronauts since those days credit him with inspiration. I’m so proud to be on this track.”

The other songs on BILL dive into various stories and topics, including the nature of relationships, the struggle with fame and identity, the meaning of life, and more. Like epic song cycles of the past from Homer to Kendrick Lamar, William Shatner’s journey is both extremely personal and universal, extraordinary and relatable. His unique insights and delivery, beloved by millions worldwide, give voice to the joys and struggles we all face.

Stay tuned for more music to come from William Shatner soon!

Marking an important milestone, multiplatinum Icelandic collective Of Monsters and Men announce My Head Is An Animal (10th Anniversary Edition) to be released on October 29th.

To celebrate a decade since the arrival of their platinum-certified debut My Head Is An Animal, the group is releasing a version of the album as it was when it was released in Iceland in 2011. This version has a total of four tracks that were not on the 2012 US release, including two never-before-released songs: “Phantom” and “Sugar In A Bowl.” The anniversary album will also be accompanied by commemorative merchandise and a limited-edition vinyl as a special thank you for fans.

Pre-order/Pre-save My Head Is An Animal (10th Anniversary Edition) album and view exclusive merchandise—HERE.

Watch the trailer for new single “Phantom” HERE.

Regarding this moment, the band commented: "It’s been 10 years since the original edition of MHIAA was released in Iceland and because of that we wanted to do something special so we're releasing a 10th anniversary edition of the album as well as performing some fun live, intimate anniversary shows from Iceland from the venue where we played our first album release party ever.

The track list matches the one from that first edition of the album that came out in Iceland in 2011 plus two unreleased bonus tracks that sort of got left behind when making the record.

This album is how most of you got to know us and how we got to know you and for that we are forever grateful.

Thank you to everyone that listened to and supported us this past decade.

Here is to another 10 years!

Love, OMAM"

While “Phantom” and “Sugar In A Bowl” are newly recorded songs, they are not new to the band. “Phantom” was first performed by Of Monsters and Men in 2010 at the renowned Músíktilraunir music competition. It was one of the two songs performed when they took home first place in the competition helping to jumpstart their career. The album features another unreleased track entitled “Sugar In A Bowl”—also composed and conceptualized over decade ago but never recorded.

Continuing the celebration of their anniversary the band also announce their first and only live shows of 2021: Of Monsters and Men: The 10 Year Anniversary Celebration of My Head Is An Animal where they will be performing two intimate shows at Gamla Bíó (the venue where they held the album release party for the album in 2011) on November 9th and 10th. The band will play the album in its entirety as well as other OMAM favorites both older and newer. Pre-sale for Of Monsters and Men: The 10 Year Anniversary Celebration of My Head Is An Animal  starts October 13th at 10am GMT and general on sale begins on October 14th at 10am GMT. Fans can head to www.tix.is/omam for more details.

Upon release in 2011, My Head Is An Animal scaled the Billboard Top 200, bowing at #6. It also boasted the quintuple-platinum “Little Talks,” which became “the first song by an Icelandic band to cross 1 billion streams on Spotify,” and the gold-selling “Dirty Paws.” To date the album has been streamed nearly 5 billion times globally and was the starting point for the band’s long career.

Since the start of the pandemic, the band has been keeping busy in Iceland. They released a cover of Post Malone’s “Circles,” in April 2020 that the band performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (see performance here). Last Fall they released new original track “Visitor,” which generated over 14 million streams worldwide and performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The performance was shot in Iceland in the landmark theater IÐNO in central Reykjavik. See the incredible performance here. The track was also remixed by indie darlings MUNA who gave new life to the track (listen here).

In 2019, the group welcomed listeners into the embrace of their critically acclaimed third full-length album, FEVER DREAM. Not only did the record tally 80 million-plus total streams to date, but it also attracted acclaim from Billboard, NPR, The Line of Best Fit, Independent, Paste, and more. Clash Magazine claimed, “The songs also have an emotional content to them that is hard to ignore.” Q Magazine praised it as “a dizzying rush of exuberance and emotion…their transformation into an arena-ready pop beast is complete.” Notably, the single “Alligator” made history by completing “their quickest climb to #1 on the Adult Alternative Songs Airplay Chart,” as reported by Billboard. In addition to selling out dates coast-to-coast on the FEVER DREAM Tour, the group delivered rapturous television performances on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! ,The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Ellen.

OF MONSTERS AND MEN went from the talk of Iceland to the top of the global conversation on their 2011 debut, My Head Is An Animal which landed the band a performance on Saturday Night Live. The group appeared on official soundtracks for franchises such as The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, and Beat Bugs, to name a few. In addition to performing at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Firefly, and beyond, they supported Florence + the Machine on a high-profile arena tour. In the midst of this rapid rise, 2015’s Beneath The Skin bowed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Top 200 and the band had a coveted cameo in an episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones in the same year.

Eddie Vedder releases a new single entitled “Brother the Cloud.” It heralds the arrival of his highly anticipated new album, Earthling, available on February 11th via Seattle Surf/Republic Records. The digital pre-order/pre-save for Earthling just went live on all streaming platforms—HERE and physical pre-order (cd, vinyl & cassette HERE).

Listen to “Brother the Cloud”—HERE.

Earthling, which was produced by Grammy Award® winning producer Andrew Watt, is Vedder’s first album since 2011’s Ukulele Songs and his first solo tour in over a decade.

The track is the latest single off the new album and joins previously released tracks: “Long Way,” which Variety noted, the strident, guitar-driven “Long Way” finds Vedder narrating a tale of a man haunted by a lost love,” and “The Haves” which Stereogum described “a searching heart ballad about personal connection, and it addresses the increasing divide between rich and poor.”

Earthling illuminates every side of Vedder and includes collaborations with some of music’s most iconic legends including Stevie Wonder, Ringo Starr, Elton John, as well as Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, and Josh Klinghoffer.

In order to bring the album to life on stage, Eddie Vedder and bandmates the Earthlings will hit the road in a series of U.S. concert dates in February for The Earthlings Tour 2022. The shows kick off on February 3 in New York and wrap up on February 22 in Vedder’s hometown of Seattle. Special guest Glen Hansard will open the shows. See full tour dates below.

The Earthlings are drummer Chad Smith, keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Josh Klinghoffer, bassist Chris Chaney, guitarist/vocalist Glen Hansard, and guitarist Andrew Watt. The newly formed group gave their live debut at Vedder’s own Ohana Festival this past September.

Multi-platinum musician Jack Johnson announces the release of a new studio album, Meet The Moonlight, available June 24 through Brushfire Records/Republic Records. The album’s lead single “One Step Ahead” is available today through all digital platforms, alongside an accompanying video. View here. Meet The Moonlight is available for a pre-order through www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/store and features an exclusive 180g milky clear vinyl.

Meet The Moonlight, Johnson’s eighth studio album and first full-length release in five years, was produced by Blake Mills (Alabama Shakes, Perfume Genius, Jim James) and recorded both in Los Angeles (at Sound City and EastWest) and The Mango Tree (Johnson’s studio in Hawaii). The creation process marks a major artistic milestone from past work, taking shape from a one-on-one collaboration with Mills (whose contributions included everything from fretless guitar to Moog synth to steel drums) and unveiled an intimate and highly experimental process that involved embedding Johnson’s elegantly stripped-back arrangements with enchanting sonic details.

“When Blake and I first got in touch we’d send each other playlists, and over time we realized we were drawn to music that sounds effortless despite all the effort put into making it,” says Johnson. “After a while we got a language together and I gained a trust in him that allowed me to let go, push outside my comfort zone, and get to a sound I really loved.”

On Earth Day, Johnson will perform an intimate set on the Kōkua Learning Farm, an educational and agricultural destination located in the heart of Haleʻiwa, Hawaiʻi. The farm is part of the latest project of Johnson’s Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation which is establishing agricultural, educational, and retail activities that promote local food, waste reduction, and environmental stewardship. Tune in to @jackjohnson on social media Friday, April 22nd on Earth Day to watch the performance and for a special announcement from Johnson himself. Time and additional details will be announced soon.

This summer, Johnson will embark on a 35-date summer tour, kicking off June 21 at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, NH, with second shows recently added in several markets due to demand. The full Meet The Moonlight 2022 Tour itinerary is below and tickets are available through www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/tour.

Continuing a commitment to support sustainability and local community projects, all net proceeds earned through Platinum and Premium ticketing programs will be donated to the Johnson Ohana Foundation to support All At Once Non-Profit Partners at each concert. In addition, $2 from every ticket will support the environment, with half being directed to carbon offset projects and the other half to support the All At Once Non-Profit Partners and their environmental projects, plastic free initiatives, and food security efforts.

Today, Lord Huron release Long Lost (Deluxe Edition) as the definitive version of their critically acclaimed fourth full-length album, Long Lost. The band has expanded the tracklisting with two new songs: “Your Other Life” and “Ton Autre Vie.” Listen to Long Lost (Deluxe Edition)—HERE.

The tunes reflect two sides of the same coin. Over a dusky beat and dreamy instrumentation, Lord Huron vocalist and songwriter Ben Schneider performs “Your Other Life” in English, while Sarah Dugas sings over the same sonic backdrop in French for “Ton Autre Vie.”

“Your Other Life”

“Ton Autre Vie”

Inviting audiences even deeper into the world of Long Lost, Lord Huron has also launched a new website with a revolutionary video player. The band shot music videos for each song in the same location with director Lee Martin in order to fashion the first-ever “Music Video As A Multiverse.” On the site, you can use a fader control to slide back and forth between the visuals, while maintaining the same time position. If you place the fader in the middle, you’ll experience the confluence of these two stories and reveal a gorgeous bilingual duet between Schneider and Dugas. Director Lee Martin reveals more about the revolutionary technology behind the video on his website HERE.

Watch “Your Other Life” and “Ton Autre Vie” Multiverse Music Video HERE.

Schneider has included a statement on “Your Other Life” and “Ton Autre Vie”; see below.

Lord Huron are currently traversing North America on their summer headline tour. The band will perform at a number of iconic venues along the way, including the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA (May 25), a two-night stand in Morrison, CO at Red Rocks Amphitheatre (June 1-2), Forest Hills Stadium in New York City (August 19) and Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD (August 21).  On various dates, First Aid Kit, Erin Rae, Leith Ross, Ada Lea, Maia Friedman and Bully are supporting.

Lord Huron continues to celebrate their success of recent album Long Lost, which has garnered nearly 50 million streams to date, captured the #1 on The Americana/Folk Album and Tastemaker Albums Chart, #2 on Vinyl Albums & Alternative Albums chart, #3 Top Rock Albums Chart, #4 Top Album Sales Chart and #23 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The album also received critical acclaim from the likes of Wall Street Journal, Brooklyn Vegan, NPR, American Songwriter, All Music, Uproxx, WNYC, Flood, JamBase and more all praising the immersive world Lord Huron has created with Long Lost. Not to mention, it has captured an 88 score on Metacritic which summarizes all critical and user reviews of an album from across the globe.

“YOUR OTHER LIFE” FROM BEN SCHNEIDER

We recorded “Your Other Life” during the sessions for Long Lost, but it didn’t end up finding a place on the album. Not because I didn’t like the way the song turned out, but because I kept hearing it in my head as sung by a woman instead of myself. Also in French…

So we called up Sarah Dugas and recorded it that way as well, not really knowing what we’d do with it, just seeing where it went. She did an amazing job, not just with the singing but also with the translation.

Listening to them side by side, I felt like the songs were made stronger by their proximity to one another. It seemed to bolster the themes of the lyrics - leading a double life, having wildly different perspectives on a situation.

I started thinking of ways to present the songs together and had the idea of being able to switch or fade between them in real time. Almost like switching between the two lives implied in the song. I thought including a visual element would make it even stronger. A cross-fadeable, double music video sounded pretty interesting.

We got in touch with Adam Willis who’s done some videos with us before and he had the thought of doing it as two perspectives on the same situation. Kind of a Rashomon inspired idea. So, we rented an Elk’s lodge in the valley and shot it at the bar there in a day.

We hadn’t really thought too much about whether or not this was all possible technically. Luckily our friend Lee Martin was able to help us make it all happen.

Today, Neneh Cherry announces a new project titled The Versions out June 10th, a collaboration album of covers from her expansive catalogue by an all-female line-up of some of the most exciting and revered artists of our time. Listen to superstar songwriter Sia’s version of Neneh’s hit “Manchild” out today below.

LISTEN TO “MANCHILD” BY SIA HERE

WATCH THE LYRIC VIDEO HERE

The Versions is a 10-track album featuring Neneh Cherry reworks from artists that have a personal connection to the artist and her music. Sia expresses her love for Neneh and her family saying, “Neneh was my favorite artist when she hit the scene. I saved my pocket money for red filas and dreamt one day we would meet. When I was struggling with my mental health in my early twenties, I somehow ended up in their house being taken care of as if I was one of their own children. I called her husband during a suicide attempt, who had been mentoring me as an incredible music producer, and they gave me all the love I could have dreamt of. I owe them a huge thanks and would sing ‘a-b-c’ for them if they asked. Neneh, my very first queen, Cameron my bonus dad, I love you forever amen!”

Other artists involved include long-time friend, one of pop’s treasured musical geniuses, and woman behind some of the most memorable songs of recent decade, Robyn, who teamed up with Mapei to re-imagine the seminal track “Buffalo Stance” into a slinky, scandipop song with the help of Dev Hynes on production. Pop provocateur, ANOHNI lends her haunting vocals to “Woman”, delivering an arresting remake of the empowering track and south London nomad Greentea Peng transforms “Buddy X” into a garage infused number. Singer-songwriter and poet Jamila Woods adds her soulful touch on “Kootchi” with artist and violinist Sudan Archives completely reconstructing “Heart” into a sparse and delicate offering. Seinabo Sey adds Scandinavian soul to “Kisses On The Wind”, Kelsey Lu’s ethereal vocals on her version of “Manchild” transports the track into unworldly heights with Neneh’s daughter TYSON bringing her own sensual attitude to “Sassy” before Honey Dijon wraps things up and taking things to the dancefloor with her house remix of “Buddy X”.

Neneh Cherry has continued to define and redefine culture, style, and music, releasing five studio albums, including 2018’s Broken Politics, produced by Four Tet, which was met with critical acclaim by the likes of The Guardian, Rolling Stone, The Times, Q, and Pitchfork. 2020 saw her reissue her radically influential debut album Raw Like Sushi to celebrate its 30th anniversary and recently received the honorary Icon Award at the NME Awards 2022.
