Since then, the band has gone on to complete three record-breaking U.S. tours, performing to more than a million fans. The 2017 summer tour, which lasted from the end of May through the first of July, drew in nearly 500,000 fans and consisted of 20 concerts, including two-night stands at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Shoreline Amphitheatre in San Francisco, Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., Fenway Park in Boston, and Wrigley Field in Chicago.  The back-to-back sold out shows in Chicago drew in over 80,000 fans and set the ballpark’s all-time record for most tickets sold for a single concert (43,600).

Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill – are bringing their recent, highly acclaimed “Hotel California” performances on tour in 2020 with concerts in Atlanta, New York, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. See below for a full listing of tour dates. Each night’s concert will feature a “Hotel California” set, with an accompanying orchestra and choir, followed by an additional set of the band’s greatest hits. The shows are scheduled to begin at 8 PM, with a brief intermission. Tickets go on sale beginning Friday, October 18, at 10 AM via Ticketmaster.com. All times are local.

The band recently performed three sold-out performances of the iconic album Hotel California in Las Vegas, Nevada. The highly acclaimed concerts were the first time the Eagles have ever performed the Hotel California album in its entirety and featured 77 musicians on stage, including a 46-piece orchestra and a 22-voice choir.  For exclusive b-roll from these concerts, click HERE.

Billboard magazine lauded the opening night concert in Vegas:

“The band performed the album from front to back, following with a blazing greatest hits set that had the audience at the sold-out arena constantly on its feet… a 23-song set of solid hits that make up the soundtrack of any Baby Boomer or Gen X’ers lives. With no exception, the songs have aged well, but how could they fail with the Eagles’ five-part harmony and five guitar-approach… (Henley’s) voice sounded as strong and pliant as it ever has, easily hitting the highest of notes, while retaining his trademark huskiness.”

American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday, October 14, at 10 AM through Thursday, October 17, at 10 PM local time.

A limited number of LaneOne Premium Packages will also be available, including amazing seats, transportation, preferred entrance, lounge access, commemorative laminate and more.  Check HERE for LaneOne details.

Hotel California is the third best-selling U.S. album in history, certified 26-times Platinum by the RIAA. After its release in 1976, it topped the charts and won two GRAMMY Awards for "New Kid in Town" and "Hotel California."  Several of the songs from the album have never been performed since the original “Hotel California” tour.  The band’s Their Greatest Hits 1971-1977 is the best-selling U.S. album in history, with the RIAA certifying the collection at 38-times Platinum.

In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons. As the best-selling American band of the ’70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, the Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums and topped the singles charts five times. They have won six GRAMMY® Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

ESPN will air the Eagles concert “Live From The Forum MMXVIII” this holiday weekend. The Eagles spent the majority of 2018 on an extensive North American tour with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey joining Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit. Earning rave reviews from fans and critics alike, the quintet arrived at the Forum in Los Angeles for three sold-out concerts on September 12, 14, and 15. Highlights from all three shows have now been compiled for the new 26-song live album and concert film that will premiere on ESPN this Sunday, July 5th, at 8 PM EDT / 5 PM PDT, introduced by longtime Eagles fan ESPN’s Chris Berman.

“Sports and music have long been at the top of the list for being able to bring people of all types together. The Eagles have been doing just that for almost half a century,” said Chris Berman. “We at ESPN are thrilled beyond belief to share this premiere with everyone! For many, music and sports are inextricably linked, so we are thrilled to present this momentous event from one of the cathedrals of sports - - The Forum.”

With the pandemic and quarantine lockdowns bringing most live music and touring to a screeching halt, Soundgarden/Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins used the downtime to explore new music and create a new project. The two multi-talented songwriter/drummers have unveiled their collaboration, Nighttime Boogie Association, by releasing two songs that they wrote, recorded, and produced: “Long In The Tooth” and “The Path We’re On.” The songs will be released as a deluxe single on Friday, December 11, 2020 through their own label Keep It Trippy Records.

“Long In The Tooth” was written by Taylor Hawkins (lyrics) and Matt Cameron (music) and features Cameron on guitar, bass, and drum machine and Hawkins on lead vocal, drum fills, percussion, and keyboards.

Matt Cameron wrote the music and lyrics for “The Path We’re On” and also plays drums, guitar and vocals. Taylor Hawkins performs the drum intro, as well as lead vocals and keyboards. The song also features Buzz Osborne on guitar and Steven McDonald on bass and from “fuzz-rock overlords,” The Melvins.

The songs were recorded, engineered, and mixed in multiple locations across the U.S.  Engineered by Toshi Kasai, John Lousteau, Nathan Yaccino, Matt Cameron, and Oliver Roman, Nighttime Boogie Association’s deluxe single was recorded at Matt’s Garage, Studio 606, Made in the Seventies, The Ballard Baitshop, and Sound of Siren. Brandon Bell mixed the songs at The Cabins Studio in Nashville and Pete Lyman mastered them at Infrasonic Sound in Los Angeles.

Texas-born Laguna-bred force of nature Taylor Hawkins has been an essential element of the sound, image and personality of Foo Fighters since 1997. His playing on FF classics including "All My Life,” “Times Like These," "Best Of You," "The Pretender," “Walk,” “These Days,” “Run,” “The Sky Is A Neighborhood” and new single “Shame Shame” is as instantly recognizable as it is consistently awe-inspiring.   In addition to lead vocal duties on Foo Fighters’ “Sunday Rain” and “Cold Day in the Sun,” Hawkins has made occasional detours from the FF drum throne. These have included albums by Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, The Birds of Satan, and in 2016, his first ever release under his own name, KOTA—an ambitious collection of six character-driven vignettes based on the life of a rockstar stranded in the suburbs.

Matt Cameron first gained fame as the drummer for Seattle-based rock band Soundgarden, which he joined in 1986 and appears on the band's studio albums until its break-up in 1997. In 1998, he was invited to join Pearl Jam's U.S. Yield Tour and then became a permanent member of the band. When Soundgarden reunited in 2010, Cameron became a member of both bands.

Legendary GRAMMY® award-winning artist, David Crosby has partnered with Irving Azoff’s new venture, Iconic Artists Group (Iconic) to monetize his life work and preserve and expand his legacy in a digital era. Crosby is the most recent signing from Iconic, which has purchased his catalogue, which includes his publishing and recorded music rights, including his solo work, as well as his work with The Byrds; Crosby & Nash; Crosby, Stills & Nash; and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The start of the Iconic relationship coincides with the 50th anniversary of Crosby’s debut solo album, If I Could Only Remember My Name, which was released in February 1971, and Déjà Vu, the second studio album by Crosby, Stills & Nash, and their first as a quartet with Neil Young, which was released in March 1970.

The deal with Crosby comes on the heels of last week’s announcement of the launch of Iconic and its partnership with the legendary Beach Boys to purchase a controlling stake in their catalog, including sound recordings, the brand, select musical compositions, and memorabilia. As part of that deal, the Beach Boys and their heirs retain an interest in their assets to participate in the upside Iconic expects to create by actively marketing and promoting their music.

Crosby commented, “Given our current inability to work live, this deal is a blessing for me and my family and I do believe these are the best people to do it with.”

“I’ve known David as a friend and have admired him as a great artist since our earliest days at Geffen Roberts Management shortly after I moved to Los Angeles,” commented Azoff, chairman and CEO of The Azoff Company. “This is an incredible time to be involved with David and his tremendous catalogue of music. He’s truly one of music’s most prolific songwriters and artists and I’m honored he has made Iconic the steward of his timeless musical legacy.”

“David’s impact on music and culture is only equaled by the lasting power of his beautiful and sophisticated songs. From the gorgeous melodies of Guinnevere and Deja Vu to the biting messages of Wooden Ships and Almost Cut My Hair, his music remains as innovative and relevant as it did when it was first created. I’m thrilled that David has chosen Iconic to be the custodian of his legacy,” said Olivier Chastan, founder and CEO of Iconic Artists Group.

Iconic Artists Group is dedicated to acquiring, and actively managing a portfolio of select artists’ assets and preserving the important legacy of these music icons. Iconic fills a void in the music business for legendary artists: a trusted guardian for an artist’s intellectual property with the expertise to maximize the value of assets and maintain their brand. Iconic provides an alternative for artists who value legacy preservation; Iconic is dedicated to exposing the artistry and music of their artists to new generations. Iconic works in direct partnership with artists, their managers, record labels and publishers, and legal heirs to provide a solution that unites the music with the brand to efficiently drive value in both.

Dead & Company debuted at No. 1 as Pollstar’s HOT SHOT artist of the week with a ticket average of 21,934 from the first 11 concerts on the supergroup’s 2021 tour. The tour kicked off on August 16th with a sold-out show in Raleigh, North Carolina, and runs through Halloween with a three-night sold-out stand at the Hollywood Bowl (October 29th, 30th, & 31st). It also included a sold-out show at the New York Mets ballpark, Citi Field (August 20th); two nights in Boston (September 2nd & 3rd) among others.  This tour continues this weekend with two nights at the home of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field (September 17th & 18th).  A full listing of the remaining 2021 tour dates can be found below.

Dead & Company continues its work with longtime sustainability partner REVERB. The band has committed to a comprehensive climate action program via REVERB’s Music Climate Revolution campaign, which, in addition to reducing the tour’s environmental footprint and engaging fans to take action at the shows, will support projects that directly and measurably eliminate greenhouse gases while benefitting diverse communities. These efforts will make the tour “climate-positive;” eliminating more than five times the tour’s emissions including fan travel.

Dead & Company was formed in 2015 when the Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir joined forces with artist and musician John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge, and Fare Thee Well and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.  The result was one of the most successful touring bands of the decade.  Since its formation, the band has completed six tours, playing to 3.4 million fans, and has become a record-breaking stadium act. Having toured consistently since its 2015 debut, the band has grossed $255.5 million and sold 2.8 million tickets across 149 reported shows. Dead & Co. has headlined iconic stadiums across the country including Folsom Field, Autzen Stadium, Citi Field, Fenway Park and Dodger Stadium. Additionally, the band broke Wrigley Field’s all-time concert attendance record.

In between tours, Dead & Company hosts its annual “Playing in the Sand” all-inclusive Caribbean concert vacation in Mexico and features three nights of Dead & Company playing on an intimate beach. Due to overwhelming fan demand, a second weekend was added to 2022’s Playing in the Sand. Both weekends have sold out.

David Crosby, Graham Nash, and Stephen Stills have requested that their labels remove their collective recordings from Spotify. In solidarity with their bandmate, Neil Young, and in support of stopping harmful misinformation about COVID, they have decided to remove their records from the streaming platform including the recordings of CSNY, CSN, and CN, as well as Crosby’s and Stills’ solo projects. Nash has already begun the process to take down his solo recordings.

In a unified statement, the band members commented, “We support Neil and we agree with him that there is dangerous disinformation being aired on Spotify’s Joe Rogan podcast. While we always value alternate points of view, knowingly spreading disinformation during this global pandemic has deadly consequences. Until real action is taken to show that a concern for humanity must be balanced with commerce, we don’t want our music - or the music we made together - to be on the same platform.”

GRAMMY® Award-winning composer/arranger/producer Kitt Wakeley has released a new single and announced the release date for his star-studded orchestral rock album, Symphony of Sinners & Saints Vol. II The Storm. Wakeley is kicking off the run-up to the release of Symphony of Sinners & Saints Vol. II The Storm with a new single: a reimagining of the Led Zeppelin classic, “Stairway to Heaven,” featuring Orianthi (Alice Cooper, Richie Sambora, RSO), the London Symphony Orchestra, and London Voices. “Stairway to Heaven” is available for purchase beginning today (see HERE for links) and a visualizer can be viewed HERE.

Originally planned for an earlier release date, Wakeley rescheduled Symphony of Sinners & Saints Vol. II The Storm when he received the news that his most recent album, An Adoption Story, received a “Best Classical Compendium” GRAMMY Award® nomination. Wakeley won that GRAMMY on Feb. 5 (see HERE) and has now announced that Symphony of Sinners & Saints Vol. II The Storm will be released April 17.

Wakeley said, “I’m excited about building on the momentum of winning a Grammy by releasing an epic version of one of my favorite songs, featuring the amazingly talented Orianthi on guitar.”

Orianthi said, “It was so fun to work with Kitt on this legendary track. The orchestra arrangement is beautiful. It’s always a little scary territory covering such a great tune as a guitar player and being such a huge fan of Jimmy page. I just went into EastWest Studios and did my thing. I hope people enjoy it!”

Symphony of Sinners & Saints Vol. II The Storm is led by the Billboard chart-topping Wakeley on keyboards and features a stellar lineup including guitar legend Joe Satriani, (Alice Cooper, Richie Sambora, RSO), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Nita Strauss (Demi Lovato, Alice Cooper), Kenny Aronoff (John Cougar, Joe Satriani), the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Voices choir (Paul McCartney, Luciano Pavarotti, the Hunger Games series), the Macedonian Symphony Orchestra, and the Macedonian Choir, the aforementioned Orianthi, London Symphony Orchestra, London Voices, and more.

Symphony of Sinners & Saints Vol. II The Storm was recorded at London’s Abbey Road Studios, FAME Studios in Macedonia, and L.A.’s EastWest Studios. The album was co-produced, engineered, and mixed by three-time Grammy Award winner Tre Nagella (Lady Gaga, Blake Shelton, Snoop Dogg) at Luminous Sound Studios in Dallas. Additional musicians featured on the album include guitarists Jay Gleason and João Miguel, drummer Brent Berry, bassist Ryan Miller, pianist Starr Parodi, and vocalist Marcelo Vieria.

This year’s event will also feature bonus content including the Good Ol’ Grateful Deadcast Presents: Here Comes Sunshine 1973 and an introduction from Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux. Tickets for “2023 Meet-Up At The Movies” go on sale on Thursday, May 11 at www.MeetUpAtTheMovies.com.

A year after Brent Mydland's passing, the Grateful Dead returned to the summer stadium circuit, with two keyboard players filling the seat Brent left vacant. Bruce Hornsby and Vince Welnick's presence and musical contributions reinvigorated the revitalized the Grateful Dead, and the inspiration of the Dead's playing was palpable. On a Saturday night in front of 60,000 fans, the Dead played what is often considered one of the greatest shows of the Bruce-Vince era, up there with the second Giants Stadium show from a few days earlier.

“We are thrilled to partner with Rhino once again to bring the Grateful Dead ‘Meet-Up’ to movie theaters all around the world,” said Kymberli Frueh, SVP for Programming and Content Acquisitions for Trafalgar Releasing. “This is one of our most requested events and we are pleased to keep bringing Deadheads together in local cinemas year after year.”

Dead & Company continued the Grateful Dead’s storied legacy at Cornell University and its famed Barton Hall when the band performed an intimate benefit concert for nearly 5,000 fans on May 8, 2023, the same date and venue as the Grateful Dead’s highly acclaimed performance at Cornell in 1977.

Proceeds from the show, $3.1 million, will be donated to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares organization, which provides a safety net of critical health and welfare services to the music industry, and the Cornell 2030 Project, in which researchers combine science, scholarship, and innovation to develop climate-change solutions. Each non-profit will receive nearly $1.5 million to advance their respective missions.

The benefit concert was produced by Dan Berkowitz, Jon Fordin, and Olivia Miller for 100X Hospitality in conjunction with Activist Artists Management, Mark Dowley, and Rob Klein.

The Spring Tour of 1977 is often considered one of the best in the Grateful Dead's entire 30-year performing career. Barton Hall at Cornell University on May 8, 1977, is considered by many fans to be not only the best show of this magnificent tour but quite possibly the best show the Grateful Dead ever played. The original concert was later released as a three-disc CD box set and five-disc LP in May 2017.

Dead & Company is currently on their sold-out “Final Tour” that will wrap up eight years of touring this weekend (Friday, July 14th, Saturday, July 15th, and Sunday, July 16th) at Oracle Park in San Francisco.

Over 130,000 tickets were sold across three nights at Folsom Field on the Final Tour, marking the first time Dead & Company played three shows at the University of Colorado’s football stadium.  The band holds the record number of performances at the venue, with 13 shows. The previous record for most shows played at Folsom by a single artist was three, held by both the Grateful Dead and the Rolling Stones.

Dead & Company is the all-time leader in the number of shows played at the famed ballpark, home to the Chicago Cubs, with 10 performances across five tours (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023), as well as the all-time leader in overall paid attendance with 360,000 tickets sold across these shows.

Additionally, they are the all-time leader for single-show paid attendance when they set the record in 2017 with more than 40,000 tickets sold.

BENEFIT CONCERT AT CORNELL UNIVERSITY

Dead & Company continued the Grateful Dead’s storied legacy at Cornell University and its famed Barton Hall when the band performed an intimate benefit concert for nearly 5,000 fans on May 8, 2023, the same date and venue as the Grateful Dead’s highly acclaimed performance at Cornell in 1977.

Proceeds from the show, $3.1 million, are being donated to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares organization, which provides a safety net of critical health and welfare services to the music industry, and the Cornell 2030 Project, in which researchers combine science, scholarship, and innovation to develop climate-change solutions. Each non-profit will receive nearly $1.5 million to advance their respective missions.

CHARITABLE INITIATIVES

Since 2015, $13+ million has been raised to support nonprofits and environmental and social causes, with $4 million donated through charity auctions and online raffles.

Beneficiaries include Headcount, Reverb, National Parks Conservation Association, The Jerry Garcia Foundation, Heart And Armor Foundation, Gorilla Doctors, Seva.org, OXFAM, MusiCares, Surfrider Foundation, WhyHunger, iGiveTrees, Positive Legacy, Further Foundation, Conscious Alliance, Rainforest Action Network, Last Prisoner Project, HAPA, SPLC, and dozens of local and regional nonprofit groups.

Participation Row auctions, in partnership with nonpartisan and nonprofit voter registration organization HeadCount, surpassed $2,033,000 raised for charity during this year’s “Final Tour.” The tally includes $355,000 from the Mickey Hart fine art auctions held in NYC and over the three nights at Oracle Park.

The staggering total, which is more than the total funds raised from all previous tours combined ($1.97 million), makes the 2023 auction series the most successful such campaign in Dead & Company’s eight-year history and brings the grand total raised to $4,000,984 across all of the band’s tours since 2015.

The total raised during the July 16th Final Tour finale alone was more than $730,100, including $275,000 for the "tour guitar,” signed by the band and played on stage by Bob Weir on Saturday night and on several other stops of the tour; $238,000 for the San Francisco/Oracle Park guitar, commemorating the final shows of the Final tour; and $159,000 for four pieces of art by Mickey Hart.

All of the funds raised are split between HeadCount (organizer of the auction), REVERB (the tour's greening partner and co-producer, with HeadCount of the Participation Row activism village), and the "Dead Family NonProfits," a group of roughly 20 causes and organization selected by the band.

SUSTAINABILITY

Dead & Company and Activist Artist Management continue their work with longtime sustainability partner REVERB to reduce the tour's environmental footprint and engage fans to take action for people and the planet. Since 2015, the following environmental impact has been achieved:

$1.6+ million dedicated to greenhouse gas reductions and climate justice projects.
125,000 single-use plastic bottles were avoided during the tours.
100,000 environmental actions taken by fans during the tours.
    51,000 tonnes of CO2e neutralized.
Climate Projects Supported include Akumal Ecological Center, Colorado Grassland Conservation, Community Solar, Detroit Solar Street Lights, Mississippi Delta, Music Decarbonization Project, One Drop: Safe Water Access, Oceana: Ocean Conservation, South Dakota Wind Power, Teak Forest Reforestation.

VOTER REGISTRATION

In addition to raising funds, 25,000+ fans have registered to vote or taken additional actions with HeadCount, including checking voter registration status, signing up for local election alerts, and contacting local legislators to stand up for voter rights.

PLAYING IN THE SAND

More than $1 million has been raised by fans who flocked to the Mexican Caribbean to see the band performing 12 concerts across four Dead & Company all-inclusive concert vacation experiences. The funds were used to support local and national humanitarian, environmental, and social justice efforts, both in Mexico and in the U.S. In addition to three magical nights of Dead & Company shows on an intimate beach each year, Playing in the Sand offered a single-use plastic-free concert area, and all waste discarded throughout the resort was sorted during the event and diverted from landfill. These efforts have resulted in more responsible and sustainable event production while directly contributing to the fight against climate change. With 5,353 tons of CO2e neutralized.
