Following the release of his chill single “Hold On Me,” emerging reggae pop rock artist Nathan Harrington returns with upbeat and captivating track, “Sleeping On Your Side.” Written by Harrington and produced by Jim Kaufman, “Sleeping on Your Side” tells the story of a toxic relationship where one often makes excuses for their partner without realizing the negative impact it is having on their own wellbeing. Despite the hardships that relationships and breakups come with, Harrington is able to let go of the past and learn how to move on with a sense of new understanding. The video, directed by Cory Ingram, follows Harrington through a struggling relationship before finally walking away and is available to watch here.

“This has been a song concept in my head for years. And finally everything connected and the song was finished. We’ve all had those toxic relationships where you make excuses for your other, not realizing the drain and fatigue it puts on your mind, body and spirit until it’s too late. ‘SOYS’ is a song that takes you through one of these relationships, the highs and lows of a break up. But ends with clarity being restored. It’s never easy going through a breakup, especially when there was so much love. But you can’t hang on to a feeling that has faded.” - Nathan Harrington

With a sound that is uniquely his own, Nathan Harrington combines elements of Roots and Reggae to bring a bold and captivating sound to life. Deeply influenced by artists like Black Uruhu, Steel Pulse, Bob Marley, and Toots & the Maytals, his musical inspiration helps to hone his tone while contemporary influences like Rebelution and Slightly Stoopid point him towards the next generation of CaliRoots artists. “The music I make is meant to heal people. Reggae holds a high vibration, and I believe it can pull people away from the darkness,” shares Harrington.

Creating a new wave of sound, when it comes to songwriting, living is Nathan’s biggest intrigue. Whether it’s exploring nature on a hike, surfing the sea, or channeling meditation, it’s what truly inspires home to open and his eyes and see, and his ears to hear. Aside from singing, Nathan plays instruments such as guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, and percussion. He’s shared the bill with artists such as Jacob Collier, 2 Chains, Shawn Mendes, Sabrina Carpenter and Jed’s A Millionaire to name a few. Nathan has also been in numerous modeling campaigns and was cast in Jordan Peele’s movie “US”.

New England’s very own Blue Light Bandits have released their highly anticipated sophomore LP Honestly Glad It Happened on all DSPs today. An eclectic mix across genres and styles, from bluesy accents in “Everyday Is A Holiday” to ‘70s retro vibes in “Without You,” Honestly Glad It Happened is, in many ways, an ode to love: love for significant others, for friends or even for music itself. In fact, the album is a huge labor of love for the band, as it was entirely recorded and produced within the BLB team.

“It’s everything to have been able to do this stuff as a squad on our own with our own resources. We’re very blessed and lucky to have what we have and to have had the resources and personnel to do this at this level. We’ve made records in the past...but nothing felt as right as doing all that work ourselves with a group of people that stays internal, stays loyal and trustworthy, and stays on the same track, on the same schedule... It’s amazing to think that this is gonna come out and it’s something that belongs to us and only to us and will forever belong only to us. It’s a reminder that making music is a team sport, or at least I believe it should always be viewed that way, and we have the best team in the damn business.” - Blue Light Bandits

The Blue Light Bandits are an award winning, 4-piece independent groove rock band from Worcester, MA. The BLB sound is inspired by a soulful mix of jazz, neo-soul, pop, and funk music. Since the release of their B.L.B Demo in 2014 and the self titled debut LP in 2017, they have amassed over 2.8 million streams on Spotify. Live BLB shows have become a staple of the Boston, Worcester and New England music scenes with residencies at Lucky's Lounge in Boston and Michael's Cigar Bar in Worcester as well as frequent appearances at the best breweries, wineries, and festivals in the region.

Dan DeCristofaro (keys and vocals) and Ethan Bates (bass and vocals) are the founding members, singers, and songwriters behind BLB. Dan is a soulful writer, producer, and arranger who has also begun releasing singles as a solo artist with “Give Me Your Love” in May of 2020 and "Unbreakable" in November 2019. Ethan is also an accomplished cellist and performs and writes solo compositions as "Ethan Bates Orchestra" where he builds live loops and layers organically for each performance. The current iteration of the BLB lineup features veteran touring and session drummer, Simon Adamsson, and multi-faceted guitarist, Jay Faires, who also rounds out the signature 3-part BLB harmonies.

Today Slomo Sapiens released their new single “We Could Be Gone.” The band miraculously masters the formula to make you dance while pondering the temporary nature of life as we know it. The delightful juxtaposition is accredited to their signature psych-rock ‘n’ roll sound with influences from the sixties and neo-psychedelia. The track’s heavy-hitting message arose from the depths of the global pandemic when reality took a dark turn for lead vocalist Ceallaigh Corbinshley and his Philly-native neighbors:

The lyrics were written with Ciaran Wall (producer of the single) at a time when the city was in turmoil as a result of people around the country being shot by police and no end in sight to a global pandemic. We could hear explosions and helicopters from his backyard and it gave us this sense of ‘everything is fleeting.’ Essentially - enjoy what you have now because at any moment… we could be gone.” - Ceallaigh Corbishley, Vocalist of Slomo Sapiens

Like a bad 90’s rom-com, the story of Slomo Sapiens starts with a boy following a girl to the other side of the world. In this specific instance it starts with lead singer and guitarist Ceallaigh Manaaki following a girl from Australia (he’s from New Zealand though, do not get them mixed up) to Philadelphia. If you believe in horoscopes, ghosts, and fairy tales then you might think it was destiny that Ceallaigh was to meet Greg Geiger (bass) and Jon Pritchard (drums) within his first week in Philadelphia. Slomo Sapiens came thumping and crashing into existence the very next week.

Since then, Slomos succession has been swift and unforgiving. With WXPN’s Dan Reed labeling the boys as ‘Nice and Loud’ and XPN’s The Key claiming ‘Slomo Sapiens come across as more distorted, east coast version of Ty Segall’ the boys have gained themselves a reputation. After the release of their debut EP ‘Hot Milk,’ Slomo Sapiens have shared stages with Bass Drum of Death, Night Beats, and many other bands across the country on their ‘Ketchup Tour’ and in Vermont at ‘WAKING WINDOWS FESTIVAL’.

With the release of their debut album ‘Cabin Fever Dreams’ we saw Slomo Sapiens evolve from a three-eyed garage-goblin to a five-headed psych-serpent. Cabin Fever Dreams is a concept album about a character isolated and trapped in a cabin located on the border of ‘Sanity’ and ‘Lala land’. It explores deep in the uncharted back-woods of the mind and the causes and effects of losing one’s mind through the sounds of fuzzed out guitar, snarling vocals, and 60s psychedelia. In their latest release ‘Slömo Vol. 1’ the boys explore their heavier side through a  journey into the dark arts. It highlights the abundance of talent in the Philly music scene with at least one guest appearance on each track.

Rock ‘n’ roll singer-songwriter Ninet Tayeb shows off her guitar-driven riffs and soaring vocals as a landscape for her captivating, reflective new single “Who Is Us.” The Israeli superstar songstress accompanies the track alongside a cinematic music video designed to tell the spiritual lyrical story of forgiveness, patience, presence, and bravery while facing life’s unknowns.

I want people to feel whatever they want to feel, I wanna be the channel to their deepest thoughts. I wanna make them feel alive.” - NINET TAYEB

Los Angeles-based, Israel-native, alternative rock ‘n’ roll musician Ninet Tayeb is more than a household name in her home country. From her winning “Israeli Idol” to starring in a long-running tv show about her life, the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and actress is arguably the biggest entertainment figure in the country. These days, her celebrity status knows no boundaries as she is showing America what real music is all about.

In 2012 she took a pause from releasing music in Hebrew to make her debut album  in English, “Sympathetic Nervous System.” It was produced by Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Wolf Alice.) and recorded at Motor Museum Studios in Liverpool. The positive response to her music in English led to the release of “Paper Parachute” in 2017, which continues to receive glowing reviews and sparked more singles throughout 2018 and 2019.

These songs reveal an artist with deep resilience, fierce determination, and disarming vulnerability. Along with an unflinching vision of her own path, those are traits that have allowed Ninet to emerge as the wild and free voice you hear on her records.

Ninet is an artist who stands her ground and has made her way on her own terms. Her favorite way to connect to her audience is through her visceral, dynamic, and potentially messy live performances. Ninet’s musicianship draws hints of inspiration from PJ Harvey, Chris Cornell, Foo Fighters, Portishead, Bob Dylan, and more. Her unyielding, inspiring energy and artistic brilliance has attracted interest from Rolling Stone, Billboard, NPR Tiny Desk, NYLON, and more. Ninet continues to shake up the American alt-rock scene with new music and more live performances on the way in 2022.

Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Cinema Stereo is a high energy rock band with a sophisticated sound that inspires positivity. Some of their muses span the likes of bands/artists such as Queen, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Aerosmith, Stevie Ray Vaughan, David Bowie, and The Doors. Cinema Stereo consists of 3 unique individuals: Ian Rayha (Lead Vocals/Bass/Synthesizers), Sebastian Borysek (Lead Guitar) and Luke Pate (Drummer). As confident and progressive visionaries, the band has an innate ability to fuse multiple styles within their musical presentation, all while maintaining a label fit for branding; factors that make this band one to keep an eye out for.

For me this body of work is unintentionally conceptual. It dives deep into the mind of a lost, but ambitious young adult who discovered the value each day had to of er." -Ian Rayha of CINEMA STEREO

Born during the pandemic, Cinema Stereo is the brainchild of Ian and Sebastian who started writing music for the band back in October 2019. Having searched for a drummer for over a year, the duo eventually added Luke to the line-up. Thus, the band was born. Performing their original tracks exuberantly, the rock band has lit up a multitude of venues within Florida. Hoping to convey authenticity through their performances, Cinema Stereo plans to release even more material in the near future for their fans and to reach new ones.

Cinema Stereo

Their self-titled album combines the sounds of classic blues-based rock n’ roll, pop sensibilities, and an appetite for innovation to create Cinema Stereo. Their 70s and 80s musical influences shine through this record while still creating a new and updated sound for new audiences to enjoy. Even though a new band to many, there’s a feeling of familiarity and deja vu while listening.

Armed with big dreams and plenty of energy to spare, Cinema Stereo seeks to positively influence the world and connect with like-minded individuals through their music. This ambitious trio is no doubt well on their way to becoming one of the most earnest bands of this generation.

Today singer-songwriter Juliana Simone releases her debut single “California.” It’s a thrill to dream of what could be, to hop out of your own head and into a new world. Though sometimes, daydreaming simply means running from what you know and need to confront. In her debut single, 20-year-old Juliana Simone offers twangy rock and roll chords juxtaposed with soaring, theatric vocals to share her story of self-discovery and growth. After all, she had to navigate a new school, a pandemic robbing her of traditional high school events, the grief that comes with losing loved ones, and more. With her guitar in hand, Juliana invites you to see reality through her lens.

“‘California’ is a song about dreamers and escapers. The day-dreamers who never find themselves satisfied, always yearning for more. The constant-escapers who suddenly realize that happiness and healing cannot depend on the next opportunity, relationship, or location..” - Juliana Simone

Juliana Simone is a 20-year-old Colombian/Brazilian singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and activist from Miami, Florida. Inspired by her Latin heritage and the words and music of Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Taylor Swift, and Birdy (among others), Juliana’s soulful, airy vocals and poetic approach to her lyrics bring a new perspective to the indie folk and rock genres. She currently lives in Los Angeles, studying at the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Theater, Film, and Television.

Juliana discovered music through theater. At the age of six years old she began combining her emotive singing abilities with charismatic characters on the theater stage and performed in large-scale productions including the 25th Anniversary National Tour of Les Miserables age the age of nine. Since then, she branched out into her own identity as a breath of fresh air and artistry in the indie scene. Her solo project is born out of a dark period flooded with pain from the loss of loved ones, the isolation during the pandemic, and jarring changes as she packed her bags to move across the country to California. She turned her grief and sadness into inspiration, began playing her guitar and piano again, and music flowed through her veins to create her first true collection of emotive, soulful indie-rock tracks.

Her breezy track “California” marks the first single in her journey and promises a collection of new music on the way in 2022. More stories certainly lie ahead, so stay tuned for more music from West Coast transplant Juliana Simone.

Today Hematite release “Adios,” the group’s second single providing a snapshot of their upcoming “Speak of the Devil” EP set to release on March 3, 2023. The track transports listeners to a faraway place where metal influences and classic country music seamlessly intertwine. The duo, consisting of vocalist Davey Muise (Vanna, Trove) and guitarist/vocalist Andrew Gaultier (Big 50, To Speak of Wolves, He is Legend), are joining forces for a project that is unlike anything they have done before. Together, they are creating an experimental, gripping musical universe brimming with darkness and western charm:

“Adios was the first or second song Andrew and I sat down with. He sent over an older demo version and by the time I had vocals on it, he'd already had a sicker version in my inbox. To me, it's where it all started, where the vibes hit me and I was taken into this new journey. I'm excited to see the feeling ‘Adios’ gives folks who listen.” -HEMATITE

From the ashes of metal and heavy rock forged to create a new direction while taking pages out of timeless western and classic country, Hematite is doing twangy in their own eerie way. With vocalist Davey Muise (Vanna, Trove) and guitarist/vocalist Andrew Gaultier (Big 50, To Speak Of Wolves, He is Legend) steering this creepy beast, they’ve navigated down a dark country/western path of old with newer gothic twists and turns all along the ride. Like Tom Waits took a road trip with Nine Inch Nails and Johnny Cash was driving stoned. Hematite’s debut single Big Bad Wolf is now streaming everywhere and the boys have future plans to bring this gothic western party to us live. Keep an eye out for performance dates and a new EP on the horizon, Hematite is just getting started.
