Elephant Revival Announces Winter Dates for "These Changing Skies" Tour

As Elephant Revival prepares to embark on a winter round of tour dates in support of their new album, THESE CHANGING SKIES, praise from critics continues to flow in their direction. Elmore magazine loves the album’s “exquisite harmonies, creative arrangements and superior musicianship” and “melodies that will stick with you well after the song has finished playing.” Boulder Weekly says they’ve channeled their “back-porch Americana … into a truly integrated sonic fabric.” And on NPR’s Folk Alley, they announced the band have found their “sweet spot.”

Elephant Revival happily rides this wave of momentum through Colorado, the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast during a string of dates including the WinterWonderGrass Craft Brew & Bluegrass Festival in Avon, Colo., and the Wintergrass Festival in Bellevue, Wash. The Sept. 3 release also has earned accolades like this one, from Oregon’s Jefferson Public Radio: “the five-piece band ha[ve] created a unique and appealing modern acoustic sound simultaneously soaked in all manner of tradition.”

And Elmore also had this to say: “Taking the traditional elements of a string band and adding a layer of complexity often reserved for jazz and fusion is a delicate balancing act … THESE CHANGING SKIES nails it.”

Elephant Revival are: Bonnie Paine (vocals, washboard, djembe and musical saw); Sage Cook (electric banjo/guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, viola and vocals); Dango Rose (double-bass, mandolin, banjo and vocals); Daniel Rodriguez (acoustic guitar, electric banjo/guitar and vocals); and Bridget Law (fiddle and vocals).
