GW Song Premiere: Andy Frasco and the U.N. "Grow Old"

2020 had Andy Frasco & the U.N. releasing all new music with their album Keep On Keeping On. After releasing their Live at Red Rocks show in September of 2021, Andy Frasco & the U.N. are back at it again! Wash, Rinse, Repeat will be out via Fun Machine Records on April 8, 2022. The album is 12 songs that span Frasco’s experience as a musician — and a man. There’s the strummy ballad “Grow Old,” about finding love for more than a weekend and being ready for it when it shows up at your door. The tongue-in-cheek stomper “Dancin’ Around My Grave” (written with Charleston bands Susto and Doom Flamingo) shows Frasco planning his own funeral if he were to die young is also included on the new album.

“A lot of people really related to that song and that's helped me get over the hump during the pandemic,”  says Frasco. "Grow Old" is a song about not giving up on love before it even has a chance to bloom. We seem to run away from love when the going gets tough, but what I'm realizing as I get older is that true love doesn’t just come without effort. It takes work, and it takes going through the full cycle of emotions to really let that love blossom like a flower.”

Whenever Andy Frasco & the U.N. roll through town, it is such a lovefest that keeps you grounded in the moment. "Grow Old" is sure to provide one of those moments where you catch your breath. It will probably be the moment when you hold your heart in its ribcage while your legs burn from the Hava Nagila but your eyes are affixed on stage lovingly gazing up at the magic of Andy Frasco and the U.N. playing live. When the fire starts to fade maybe this time we’ll take it slow.  Or maybe you’ll end up in the midst of a massive dance party. Whatever your day brings you, I hope the love grows old. I hope you spend more time doing what feels good. Every day may feel the same but Andy Frasco does not complain. He pours himself a cup of courage and keeps on writing touching tunes to tear the roof off the suckah.

'Wash, Rinse, Repeat' the single is about the PTSD of being in your house for too long. We forgot who we were before this pandemic. Now that we are slowly coming out of this, it's time to follow our dreams again. Get outside, explore, maybe fall in love with someone or ourselves again. The Renaissance is around the corner." - Andy Frasco
