Casey Van Beek was born in Holland but raised in Los Angeles from the age of five, and fit right in to the burgeoning local ‘60s rock scene.  By his teens he was playing bass and singing in The Vibrants, who opened for the Dave Clark Five and the Rolling Stones’ first L.A.

Given the challenging times we are facing around the world, Positive Legacy & Cloud 9 Adventures have aligned to do what they do best: spread joy and give back to the music community in need. Together they proudly present a COVID-19 Relief Fund & Program to benefit event gig workers who have been actively involved with live music events and are currently out of work.

“Not the End” was born out of the desire for hope in despairing times, exploring if fate can be altered.  “I was feeling overwhelmed by the declining state of the world and inspired to figure a way out.

While millions of people are becoming accustomed to virtual gatherings and live streaming of music events during the current coronavirus pandemic, for the non-profit Melodic Caring Project (www.melodiccaring.org), it has been a way of life throughout its nearly 10-year history. The Seattle-based 501c3 charity has been bringing personalized live music performances by a wide range of touring artists directly to the hospital beds of sick children in various forms of isolation or quarantine since 2011.

Ace Entertainment, a Philadelphia-area multi-media music content production company, has announced the release of its first-in-series music tribute documentary: “Lest We Forget: Kofi Burbridge.” The 32-minute film focuses on the life, music and influence of the late Kofi Burbridge - an American musician of extraordinary talent who passed away February 15, 2019 from heart complications.  It will be available for streaming at www.LestWeForgetMusicians.com on Friday, May 1, 2020.

When the opportunity to write about Gospel Book Revisited’s new album, “Morning Songs & Midnight Lullabies” presented itself, I jumped. I didn’t do this because I was familiar with the band or read positive reviews. I didn’t even take a listen which is quite out of character. I said yes for the sole reason the group originates from Italy. My heart is hurting for the entire world but our Italian friends are suffering exponentially. I wanted to give them a bit more love.

California singer-songwriter Joss Jaffe is excited to announce his latest single, “Traveller.” "Traveller” is slated for release on Friday, April 17 with a music video. World-renowned violinist and composer Scarlet Rivera blazed the trail for rock violinists when she was featured on Bob Dylan's legendary Rolling Thunder Revue in 1975. Today, she proudly announces the release of her new single and vocal debut, “Dust Bowl”. Rivera co-wrote the song with her producer, Tim Goodman, about the 1930s ecological disaster in the US Midwest. The song is on Rivera's EP, All of Me, the first release to feature Rivera on both violin and lead vocals.
