Paul McCartney's Kisses On The Bottom (Concord/Hear Music) has been nominated for this year's Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album Grammy.

In addition, Paul and Linda McCartney's RAM Paul McCartney Archive Collection Deluxe Edition (Concord/Hear Music) has been nominated for for Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package and Best Historical Album.

Jack White Nominated for Album of the Year Grammy

Six-time Grammy winner Jack White has been nominated in three categories in the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards, including the evening's highest honor, the Album of the Year.

In addition to Album of the Year,  Blunderbuss is also nominated for Best Rock Album, while "Freedom at 21" has been nominated for Best Rock Song.

Furthur Announces Colorado 2013 Winter Run

Furthur has announced another Winter Tour on the front range of the Colorado Rockies, including their first gig the Ogden Theater in Denver and their 7th, 8th and 9th shows @ the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado (between Denver and Boulder).

This marks the 4th year in a row either Furthur or Phil and Friends (last Feb) will play the newly renovated venue.

Papadosio Closes Out the Year With Special Events

With a number of special events booked through the Holiday season, December is heating up for the seminal touring outfit Papadosio. The five-piece project will kick off the winter solstice with a unique celebration in music, arts and workshops on December 20th - 21st at their first annual Earth Night 2012. The project will then set their sights on New Year’s celebrations on Dec 30th in Philadelphia, PA and then 31st in Richmond, VA – closing out the year with a huge New Year’s Celebration at the National.

Jazz Legend, Dave Brubeck died today at age 91.

Today we lost jazz legend Dave Brubeck, age 91, to heart failure at a Norwalk, Connecticut hospital.   Brubeck, whose tricky time signatures and extended improvisation jams transcended the swing rhythm of the 50's and 60's had an extensive career spanning six decades and he continued to pursue his musical career until this day.  Brubeck would have been 92 on Thursday.  Our thoughts and wishes go out to Brubeck's family, friends and fans.
