The wind is whipping down Asheville’s south slope, and the temperature is somewhere in the low teens as the crowd begins to arrive at The Orange Peel for the seventh annual Holiday Hang. Put on by Town Mountain and Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters, the event is a benefit for the local Manna Food Bank and has become quite a tradition in this town.

Just a few short weeks after the Chris Robinson Brotherhood's annual December three-night stand at The Fillmore in San Francisco, they'll set up shop once again in the Bay Area to ring in the New Year with three-nights, December 29, 30 and 31, at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael. Raleigh, NC Americana band, New Reveille, who recently signed a label and management deal with Loud & Proud Records, have launched their PledgeMusic store today where fans can pre-order their debut album.

American original Jane Ira Bloom does it again. This time the 21st-century soprano saxophonist reimagines the poetry of 19th-century visionary Emily Dickinson in two different settings. Her new 2 Cd pack showcases her jazz quartet's interpretation of Dickinson's poetry and includes a second version for jazz quartet and spoken word featuring readings by popular stage & film actor Deborah Rush.

Sibling blues-rockers Jocelyn & Chris Arndt have propelled into the Billboard AAA Top 40 Radio Charts with their latest single, the dark and brooding "Red Stops Traffic." The song debuted at #37 earlier this week, amongst hit artists including The Killers, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Kings Of Leon, Walk The Moon, and more. Chapel Hill’s esteemed indie Americana band Mipso and acclaimed bluegrass troubadour Ben Sollee and Kentucky Native co-headline a run of shows together in early 2018. Chris Combs, guitarist, composer and member of the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, offers his debut solo album, Combsy. Based out of Tulsa, OK, Combs has written, arranged and produced the album in its entirety.

RHONDA’S KISS, an organization that helps cancer patients in need, put on its annual all-star benefit concert at the Palladium in Los Angeles on Friday, December 8. The third annual event featured a powerful headlining performance from the iconic rock group Jane’s Addiction, and renowned neurosurgeon Dr.

The new album has 14 songs and full of collaborations, including multiple songs co-written and produced with Brian Fennell (Ryan Tedder, One Republic, The Fray, Third Eye Blind), as well as guest appearances by Grammy-nominees J Boog and Eric Rachmany (Rebelution), Jamaican dancehall superstar Busy Signal, and island music veterans Fiji and The Mana’o Company. Also, the new album features the band’s first female vocalist as the main harmony, Riya Davis, you can hear her harmonies on the tracks “Foolish Love” and “You’ve Been Crying."
