In support of their recently released new album, Coming Down The Mountain, Mipso announce additional tour dates to their current Summer 2017 Tour. Expanding to include dates on West Coast, including The Blue Note in Napa and Slim’s in San Francisco, Mipso have also added dates in the Southwest, bringing their praised live show to Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA, Gasa Gasa in New Orleans, Saturn in Birmingham, AL and more. All confirmed dates are listed below.
 

Philadelphia’s own Boris Garcia will release Around Some Corner on Porchwerk Music label for fans everywhere.  The band called on their secret weapon, Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth fame to take the role of producing the album. Carbone moves Boris Garcia’s songs of whimsy and emotion and molds them into complex compositions, making it look effortless.

The 15th annual Joshua Tree Music Festival descended upon the Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground May 18 – 21, 2017. Just as years past, the lineup was chock full of artists from all over the globe, representing the local desert area, up and down the western seaboard, UK, Peru, South Korea, and Netherlands among other places. The family friendly music experience is busting with global music, art, bodywork modalities, healing arts, and activities for all ages, adults and children alike.

On June 9th, 2017, the Industrial Hemp Research Foundation will host a fun, educational event to celebrate the 8th Annual Hemp History Week, a national grassroots education campaign taking place from June 5-11, 2017, which aims to renew support for hemp farming in the United States. This year’s campaign theme is Breaking Ground, which focuses on how regenerative hemp farming, hemp foods, and other hemp products provide sustainability solutions for the next generation.

Internationally acclaimed Mexican acoustic rock guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela are back on the road again in 2015, bringing their unique instrumental blend of metal, jazz and world music to audiences all over the US. Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero have been playing together for more than fifteen years.

Earlier in month, music fans in this town witnessed a small handful of return performances from the legendary Tripping Daisy inspiring a flurry of very deserved superlative adjectives and, we are sure, new fans.

Moon Hooch have announced Fall 2017 tour dates. The 18-show headline run will make stops throughout the Midwest and Rocky Mountains, including their biggest performances yet in Chicago, Minneapolis and Denver. The Brooklyn-based double sax and drums trio, who Brooklyn Vegan declared "bring the party to wherever they play," conclude the trek in the Southeast with two nights in Atlanta and Jacksonville. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, June 2 at 1PM ET.

Boston Calling returned to Boston, MA, this past weekend in an entirely new form – a venue that featured grass. Previously held in Boston’s City Hall Plaza, this year’s festival was held at the Harvard Athletic Complex, trading the concrete ground of downtown Boston for the open-space fields of Cambridge’s most elite school.
