On March 7th Rock For Refugees is coming to Peckham, to host an eclectic night of live music from some of 2017’s rising stars, all in support of UNICEF.

Based in the 120-year-old multi-level Bussey building and situated close to Peckham Rye Station, the CLF Art Café will open its doors to ticket buyers to enjoy four acclaimed new acts while raising money for a good cause.

The Bonus Wednesday Wanee concert night April 19th this year will be dedicated to “Remembering Butch Trucks” the long time Allman Brothers drummer who passed away last month.  The Wednesday performance, which is a popular event for Wanee fans, is an extra night of music available to those who have purchased three day tickets to the Wanee Music Festival.  It had featured Butch before and he was slated to be its headliner at the 2017 show.

Founding member, singer, songwriter and mandolin player for the award winning folk/americana outfit Greensky Bluegrass, this is the FB home for Paul Hoffman's solo musical adventures. Anders Beck plays the dobro... or the resophonic guitar as some call it... or the "drop steel" as he calls it. In his relatively short time playing the instrument, Anders has built a reputation for being a unique, creative player that fits into any musical situation with a sound that is strong yet sweet; dirty yet somehow clean.

The ninth annual FoCoMX (Fort Collins Music eXperiment) will take place April 28 and 29, 2017. Danny Barnes is already known as an iconic American musician, a banjo playing innovator who’s earned high praise from everybody from Bill Frisell and Dave Matthews to Steve Martin, who presented Danny with the Prize for Excellence in Banjo in 2015. From the days with his groundbreaking Austin band, the Bad Livers, to his two decade solo career experimenting with electronic music, jazz, old time string band music and more, he’s a genre bending, rule breaking original who prefers to color outside the lines.

Listening to ‘future cowboys’ Dirtwire is a musical journey unlike many others. The trio, comprised of David Satori of Beats Antique, Evan Fraser of Bolo, and Mark Reveley of Jed and Lucia push musical boundaries, whether they’re performing sold out shows or recording in the studio.

The son of a sharecropper, blues legend John Lee Hooker was one of the very first artists to break out of that genre and become a world-wide force. He based his sound on a driving boogie beat and lyrics that sometimes seemed to come from another world. To begin the centennial celebration of Hooker's birth year, Vee-Jay Records, a division of Concord Bicycle Music, will release WHISKEY AND WIMMEN: JOHN LEE HOOKER'S FINEST on March 31.

Guitarist, Roni Ben-Hur celebrates the music of two iconic musicians who had a major influence on his style, Brazilian guitarist and composer, Beden Powell, on February 17, and the high priest of jazz, Thelonious Monk, on February 18.

Steve Masakowski, the legendary New Orleans jazz guitarist and educator, along with his rising-star children, vocalist Sasha and bassist Martin, have collaborated on a new album, N.O. Escape, featuring a variety of their favorite songs related to their hometown of New Orleans in a style that Steve describes as Nouveaux Trad.
