On March 6, 1992, the Fox Theatre opened it’s doors to the public with a performance from The Meters. Started by a group of young men - James and Charles Hambleton, Dave MacKenzie, Jon O’Leary, Don Strasburg – and the sage-like Dicke Sidman, the Fox Theatre quickly grew from “the little club that could” into a touchstone of the music community. Fans, artists and industry vets alike recognize the Fox as offering one of the best customer and artist experiences.

Shelter Live Tour returns to northern California for one more night of pure bliss!

Porter Robinson and Madeon make their way back up California to touch ground in Sacramento. Halfway through the North American leg of the Shelter Live Tour, an additional date was added in northern California to the surprise and delight of thousands of fans that were unsuccessful in their attempts to get tickets to the two sold out shows in San Francisco.

Everybody’s past has a soundtrack. It’s an often-random selection of music that has accompanied, and in some cases, defined stages of our lives. As we grow older, tastes change and more is added to the soundtrack. Songs and artists are archived in our memory, assigned specific events or entire periods of our lives.

Until listening to this album, I had no clue the extent to which Iration is the soundtrack of my young adulthood.

Recently Grateful Web had another chance to speak with Santa Cruz, California based bandleader, singer, and songwriter Steven Graves. His seventh studio album Captain Soul is indeed his most personal statement to date. In conversation with Dylan Muhlberg, Graves opened up about the collaborative nature of his studio time, music as a guide to self-awareness, and his spirituality as a creative vehicle. His most rocking record yet exposes an artist on a peak of his own journey.

THE MAGPIE SALUTE partnered yesterday (1/5/17) with Yahoo! Music to premiere their performance video of "Comin' Home" that begins with a tribute to the late keyboardist Eddie Harsch who passed away November 4, 2016. Eddie was set to perform with the band during their upcoming four night, sold-out engagement later this month at the Gramercy in New York (January 19, 20, 21, 22).

The Red Hot Chili Peppers kick off their 2017 North American tour tonight at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.  The 51-city trek in support of their latest album, The Getaway, which was released by Warner Bros. Records on June 17, 2016, includes sold out three-night stands at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
