Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, with John Mayer and featuring Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti, better known collectively as Dead & Company, opened their highly anticipated Summer 2016 tour by announcing a free show at The Fillmore in San Francisco on Monday, May 23.

Ten days of concerts and various events around the Lagoon inspired by the band once led by Jerry Garcia, which this year celebrates the 50th Anniversary. Starring international musicians like John Kadlecik, Scott Law, Ross James and Leonardo Suarez Paz to which a contingent of Italian players was added: Martino Coppo, Paolo Bonfanti, Roberto Bongianino, Veronica Sbergia and Max De Bernardi. In partnership, Cloud 9 Adventures and The Bowery Presents have announced the lineup and event details of the third edition of One Big Holiday, My Morning Jacket’s tropical concert vacation held over four-nights from February 4-8, 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, an all-inclusive resort & spa located in the beautiful Riviera Maya region of Mexico.

The programme for Jazz Middelheim, from 12 through 15 August, in Antwerp’s Park Den Brandt, has been finalised. Patti Smith will end the day’s festivities with ‘An Evening of Words and Music’ on 13 August. On 15 August, Liberation Music Orchestra will be replaced by Power Trio: Murray, Allen & Carrington.   Ludovico Einaudi, Melanie De Biasio, Pharoah Sanders/Zakir Hussain/Joachim Kühn, STUFF. Hybrid Love, Jef Neve & Typhoon and Avishai Cohen had already been announced earlier this year.

Kimié Miner, the Hawaiian based singer-songwriter who uniquely weaves between Reggae, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Hawaiian, and Pop, recently launched her new music video for the song “Trouble” from her 2015 critically-acclaimed album. You can view the video below.

On the heels of their first national U.S. tour with Stick Figure and Fortunate Youth, one of Jamaica’s most promising young acts Raging Fyah is gearing up for their debut album for Dub Rockers, entitled Everlasting. Following their previous self-released albums Judgement Day (2011) and Destiny (2014), Everlasting will be available for worldwide release on May 27, 2016.

“We wanted to make a more energetic record. I personally looked to artists like Springsteen, 70's Bowie, The Smiths, The Cure, Neil Young as inspiration for—not really for sound as much as for that dichotomy of bands who were entertainers still making, at times, weird dark music and writing songs that seem totally over-the-top by today's rock band standards,” says Cymbals Eat Guitars bassist Matthew Whipple of his band’s wildly ambitious fourth LP, Pretty Years.

Austin’s Hard Proof has confirmed the release of its new record, Public Hi-Fi Session 03, out on June 24 on Jim Eno’s Public Hi-Fi Records. The release will be available on 12-inch vinyl (180gram/45rpm), digital download, and to stream.
