Nothing makes me happier than a night full of some great classics from the Grateful Dead. Every time I hear one of those familiar melodies I can feel my soul awaken and my heart become a little lighter.

So many legendary touring acts continue to play and perform on the fortune of their loyal fans coming to see their shows. Stalwarts of the scene know that getting on the road and playing as often as possible is the lifeblood of continuity. Year after year, summer after summer, fans travel to see Phish, Widespread Panic, whatever incarnation of the Dead, and on and on. It’s refreshing when great lesser-worshiped acts get their chance to build a fan base, especially with the support of old mainstay bands.

American Babies are set to launch a cross-country U.S. tour this weekend. The Philadelphia-based band, fronted by Tom Hamilton, kick-off a 32-date run with two hometown shows at Union Transfer followed by headline performances throughout the Midwest and Colorado. The Babies then join TL3 (featuring members of Tea Leaf Green) for a stretch of West Coast dates.

World-renowned Billboard Reggae Chart-topping group Tribal Seeds announce today they will release their fourth studio album this Spring entitled Representing. Tribal Seeds will celebrate the new album release by hitting the road on a 35-date national "Representing Tour" this Spring with support from New Kingston and Inna Vision.

Colorado-based Elephant Revival is looking forward to spring, which the band will greet with a series of West Coast-to-Midwest tour dates in support of their acclaimed new album, These Changing Skies.

Sierra Hull and Kathy Chiavola have been added to the “Ashes of Love” benefit concert for Steve Thomas & Family taking place Thursday, February 20th at the Ernest Tubb Troubadour Theater located at 2416 Music Valley Drive in Nashville. Parking is free. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the concert begins at 6:45 pm.
