The Wood Brothers have shared Winter 2026 tour dates in support of their latest album, Puff of Smoke. Following the band’s recent announcement that they’ll be returning to headline Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on March 5, an additional 15 shows have been added from January through March across the Southeast and Midwest. Tickets for the tour will be available via artist presale on Wednesday, October 29, at 10 a.m. local time, with general on-sale beginning Friday, October 31, at 10 a.m. local time.
The tour kicks off January 29 at The Eastern in Atlanta and continues through the Southeast, including two nights at The Orange Peel in Asheville, as well as three shows in Florida. After a brief pause, they pick up again at Town Ballroom in Buffalo on February 26 before heading into the Midwest, highlighted by stops at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati on March 1 and the Ryman Auditorium on March 5. The run concludes back in the Southeast with shows in Charlotte (venue TBA) on March 6 and the Carolina Theatre of Durham on March 7.
Alongside the tour announcement, The Wood Brothers have released a video created by bassist Chris Wood for “Above All Others,” a song that was initially released as the fourth single in advance of Puff of Smoke. Oliver Wood describes the track as: “Queen meets circus music, with big anthemic power chords and Freddie Mercury–style operatic, over-the-top choruses.”
Defined by their ever-curious musical minds, voracious creative appetite, and love of spontaneity, The Wood Brothers’ ninth studio album, Puff Of Smoke, brims with joy in the face of turbulent times. A true collaborative effort between the band’s three members, its 11-tracks weave a medley of musical ideas ranging from Latin-inflected acoustic guitar lines to driving post-jazz rhythms to infectious sing-along choruses, resulting in a cohesive, joyful whole. As Rolling Stone described in a recent feature, “The record is signature Oliver, Chris, and Jano cooking up a vibrant, melodic stew — part big-tent soul revival, part joyous dive into the abyss of whatever itch each member is wanting to scratch.” Through it all, Puff of Smoke carries The Wood Brothers’ trademark turns of phrase and their lighthearted yet subversively profound wisdom at the core.
The Wood Brothers return to the road next week in support of Puff Of Smoke for an extensive fall tour to close out 2025. The run makes stops across the Midwest in November and continues in December with shows in the Northeast.
Closing in on two decades since the release of their debut album Ways Not to Lose in 2006, The Wood Brothers show no signs of slowing down, offering a prolific flow of creative output alongside a zealous commitment to bring their electrifying live performances to fans across North America and Europe. As those who join them night after night will attest—while singing along to classics like “Luckiest Man,” “Postcards from Hell,” “Happiness Jones,” and countless others from their extensive catalog—The Wood Brothers remain one of the most enduring and beloved bands of their time.
