From raga-jazz explorations to Jerry-inspired improvisation, Denver’s iconic jazz room is hosting some of the most innovative musicians in the world.
Denver’s jazz community is buzzing this fall and winter, and one reason is simple: Dazzle, the city’s premier listening room, is bringing a remarkable lineup of national and international artists through its doors. Felow is an overview of the upcoming shows, with a special spotlight on Stanley Jordan, a longtime friend of the improvisational and Dead-adjacent universe that Gweb readers know and love.
November 14 – 6:30 PM
Grammy-nominated pianist and composer Charu Suri returns to Dazzle with her acclaimed raga-infused jazz. As the first Indian-born jazz artist to premiere original work at Carnegie Hall, Suri has forged a singular path—melding classical Indian forms with modern jazz in ways that feel both ancient and newly alive. Her collaborations with luminaries like Joe Lastie, Steve Gadd, and Yo-Yo Ma speak to her expansive musical reach. Expect a hypnotic evening.

Few modern flutists have lived a life as dramatic—or triumphant—as Nestor Torres. From his break-out Miami jam session that launched his career, to his harrowing and nearly career-ending boating accident in 1990, Torres’ story is one of grit and rebirth. His Latin Grammy-winning tone and charismatic stage presence continue to inspire audiences everywhere.

Pianist Michael Wolff and drummer Mike Clark have a rare musical chemistry dating back to their teenage days in San Francisco. Both have deep histories with jazz royalty—Herbie Hancock, Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter—and together they create music that is emotionally rich, deeply grooving, and full of adventure.
November 25 – 6:30 & 8:30 PM
A dream trio of improvisers—Edward Simon, Scott Colley, and Brian Blade—Three Visitors is a meditation on impermanence, memory, and sonic exploration. Their interplay is profound, effortless, and often otherworldly. Expect one of the most artful and spiritually charged jazz experiences of the season.

Four musical titans share the Dazzle stage: the fearless jazz-funk innovator Oz Noy, powerhouse vocalist Chrissi Poland, fusion legend Dave Weckl, and bass virtuoso James Genus (of Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Saturday Night Live). This is going to be explosive, technical, soulful, and wildly fun.
December 9 – 6:30 & 9:00 PM
One of the most beloved pianists in jazz, Jacky Terrasson brings a joyous, dazzling energy to everything he touches. Winner of the Thelonious Monk competition and a longtime Blue Note recording artist, Terrasson blends the lyricism of French impressionism with American swing and bebop fire.
December 29 – 6:00 & 8:30 PM
Denver’s own Otis Taylor returns to his hometown stage with his powerful, hypnotic trance-blues. Rooted in the Denver Folklore Center tradition, Taylor’s music is cinematic, emotional, and deeply intentional. His mastery of guitar, banjo, and storytelling has made him one of the modern blues world’s most important voices.

For the Gweb community, this is the can’t-miss show of the season.
Stanley Jordan is more than a guitar virtuoso—he’s a bridge between jazz, jam, classical, and rock worlds. His two-handed tapping technique opened new dimensions for the guitar, allowing him to play independent lines, chords, and melodies simultaneously with piano-like freedom.

A Brazilian national treasure, Hamilton de Holanda revolutionized the 10-string bandolim, blending choro, jazz, samba, and virtuosity into his own electrifying language. His collaborations range from Wynton Marsalis and Chick Corea to Djavan and John Paul Jones.

Featuring guitar/sitar master Fareed Haque and bass hero Kai Eckhardt, Garaj Mahal is a beloved fusion powerhouse known for mixing jazz, funk, world music, and blazing improvisation. Their shows are journeys filled with creativity and deep grooves.

A visionary violinist and composer, Jenny Scheinman moves effortlessly between jazz, folk, experimental composition, and Americana. Collaborator to Bill Frisell, Julian Lage, Ani DiFranco, Lou Reed, and Bruce Cockburn, she brings a singular voice and joyful imagination to the stage.

One of the most exciting young drummers on Earth, Blaque Dynamite brings explosive creativity, fearless improvisation, and incredible musicianship. A prodigy since childhood, he’s already played with Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Erykah Badu, Thundercat, Stanley Clarke, and countless others. His live shows are unforgettable.

A leading voice in the new generation of jazz-R&B fusion, Braxton Cook blends soul, modern jazz, and introspective songwriting. His latest album, Not Everyone Can Go, explores transition, fatherhood, identity, and letting go.

A supergroup in the truest sense, The Cookers bring together seven veterans of the post-bop era—musicians who helped shape the sound of modern jazz. Eddie Henderson, Billy Hart, George Cables, Cecil McBee, Billy Harper, Donald Harrison, and David Weiss bring unmatched fire, history, and mastery to the bandstand.
