The Disco Biscuits turned a crisp Sunday night in the Poconos into a full-scale trance-fusion celebration as they took over the historic Sherman Theater in East Stroudsburg, PA. Living up to the old adage “never miss a Sunday show,” the Philly-bred quartet delivered two densely woven sets that flowed with effortless improvisation and nonstop energy.

Jon “Barber” Gutwillig (guitar/vocals), Marc “Brownie” Brownstein (bass/vocals), Aron Magner (keys/vocals), and the band’s newest member, Marlon B. Lewis (drums), wasted no time pulling the crowd into their world. Opening with the fan-favorite anthem “Svenghali,” the band set a mood that was part celebratory, part psychedelic swirl.

The first set’s defining stretch was a massive “Rock Candy” sandwich — a 55-minute improvisational odyssey that showcased the band’s telepathic interplay. “The Wormhole” served as the doorway into deeper terrain, eventually dissolving into a soaring “Simulations” before shifting into the playful pulse of “Minions” and finally returning triumphantly to the conclusion of “Rock Candy.” Magner’s atmospheric keys and Barber’s laser-focused guitar lines carved out a vivid sonic landscape, while Brownstein and Lewis locked in a propulsive rhythm that kept the packed house moving.

The second set blasted off with the muscular syncopation of “Mindless Dribble,” which set a pounding foundation for the high-energy “Dino Baby.” A quick but fiery “Cyclone” ratcheted the room’s intensity even higher, with Lewis driving the band at full throttle. The night’s peak came during the ambitious sequence that funneled into an inverted “Portal to an Empty Head,” eventually resolving with the soaring finale of “Confrontation.”

After a short breather, the band returned to cap the evening with a lively, dance-heavy “Neck Romancer,” sending fans spilling into the East Stroudsburg night buzzing with adrenaline.
