Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom is proud to announce a historic moment for the venue, its first ever fully clean energy powered concert, brought to Denver by Battery Tour, the global clean-energy music movement founded by UN Young Leader and artist AY Young. This milestone appearance is part of Battery Tour’s global Road to 1000 mission to power 1,000 renewable-energy concerts and transform how live events impact the planet.
The Denver performance at Cervantes’ marks Show #963, moving Battery Tour closer to its goal of producing 1,000 renewable-powered concerts and setting a Guinness World Record for the most sustainable performances ever staged. This clean-energy tour stop during “How the Grouch Stole Christmas 2025” demonstrates how touring artists and venues can adopt a scalable, zero-emissions production model.
“Battery Tour exists to prove that music can literally power the planet,” says Battery Tour founder AY Young. “This show at Cervantes’ is another step toward building the future of sustainable entertainment.”
Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom, rooted in the historic Five Points “Harlem of the West,” has long been a stage for American music icons including Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, and Muddy Waters. Since opening as Cervantes’ in 2003, the venue has carried that legacy forward. Now, Battery Tour brings a new chapter to the block’s storied history with a fully clean-energy-powered concert and impact experience.
Battery Tour’s clean-energy production pairs a renewable-powered concert with a condensed daytime edition of the RECHARGE Collective, created with New Use Energy (NUE) and Freshwater Project International (FPI). Through demonstrations, youth engagement, and water-tech storytelling, the Collective showcases how music and innovation can power community-driven solutions.
Together, the concert and Collective will mark one of the first fully clean-energy-powered events at Cervantes’ and in Five Points, bridging a century of musical history with a climate-positive future.
Alongside the evening performance, Battery Tour will present a condensed version of the RECHARGE Collective, a fast-moving daytime activation co-created with New Use Energy (NUE) and Freshwater Project International (FPI). Through youth engagement, clean-tech demonstrations, and water-access storytelling, the program highlights how music can serve as infrastructure, delivering real-world solutions while inspiring the next generation of changemakers.
Battery Tour is redefining what concerts can be, renewable, community-centered, scalable, and built for global impact. With its mobile solar-and-battery systems, turnkey power model, and education-driven programming, the platform enables artists and venues to dramatically reduce emissions without sacrificing production value.
At Cervantes’, this milestone performance demonstrates how the future of touring can honor Five Points’ rich musical history while advancing a climate-resilient entertainment industry.
