Few bands embody the laid-back, sun-soaked spirit of West Coast reggae-rock quite like Slightly Stoopid, and in the summer of 2026, that unmistakable vibe returns to one of America’s most iconic natural venues. On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the veteran collective will headline Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, for a massive outdoor celebration of music, community, and positive energy.
The night promises to be a full-throttle reggae-rock summit, with support from The Movement, Pepper, and the ever-expanding Slum Beach Posse, featuring DENM, Landon McNamara, Benny Ranks, and Jesse James Pariah. Together, the lineup reflects a wide-ranging musical family tree that blends reggae, punk, hip-hop, and beach-bred grooves into a seamless summer soundtrack.
Founded by childhood friends Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald, Slightly Stoopid has spent three decades carving out a fiercely independent path. Mentored early on by Sublime’s Bradley Nowell, the band leaned into their rock, reggae, and punk roots while embracing a DIY ethos that has fueled both artistic freedom and long-term success. From their beginnings in Ocean Beach, California, to sold-out tours across the globe, the group has remained steadfast in doing things on their own terms.
That independent spirit led to the creation of Stoopid Records, home to their platinum single “Closer To The Sun” and gold singles “2am” and “Collie Man.” With multiple Billboard-charting albums and more than one million physical catalog sales, Slightly Stoopid continues to elevate their reach while staying deeply connected to their fanbase.
Along the way, the band has collaborated with an eclectic roster of artists including Snoop Dogg, Bob Weir, Stephen Marley, Cypress Hill, G-Love, Barrington Levy, Chali2na, Karl Denson, Don Carlos, and Rashawn Ross. They also independently curate their annual Closer to the Sun destination music festival in Mexico, an event that has sold out ten consecutive years and become a cornerstone of their musical lifestyle.
Set against the dramatic sandstone monoliths of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, this 2026 performance promises to be a highlight of the summer concert season—bringing together generations of fans for a night rooted in groove, freedom, and celebration.
