Tori Amos Announces ‘In Times of Dragons’ LP due out May 1 via Universal/Fontana
A pioneer across platforms, multiplatinum singer-songwriter, pianist, and composer Tori Amos has announced her 18th studio album, In Times of Dragons, due out May 1 via Universal/Fontana. Revered for building a multifaceted career defined by fearless activism and otherworldly musicianship, the new collection continues her storytelling tradition through a dynamic cast of characters, unfolding as a journey of resilience and awakening where the pursuit of freedom meets forces that seek to control and silence.
“In Times of Dragons is a metaphorical story about the fight for Democracy over Tyranny, reflecting the current abhorrent non accidental burning down of democracy in real time by the ‘Dictator believing Lizard Demons’ in their usurpation of America,” Amos shares.
Amos will support the album with an extensive 35-date U.S. summer tour, with stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Boston, Austin, Philadelphia, and a marquee Colorado night at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 20. The live shows will see Amos joined once again by longtime collaborators Jon Evans (musical director and bass) and Ash Soan (drums), plus the addition of three backing singers: Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka, and Hadley Kennary. The setlists will draw from In Times of Dragons alongside highlights from across her 35-year career, which includes multiple GRAMMY nominations and more than 12 million albums sold worldwide.
The U.S. dates follow Amos’ largest European tour in a decade, spanning 17 countries across April and May 2026. Fans can access an exclusive artist pre-sale via toriamos.com.
The In Times of Dragons album cover artwork was also revealed today, created using a distinctive vintage photographic process. Photographer Kasia Wozniak worked with direct paper positives using the RA-4 process, shooting everything on a large-format camera. “Each photograph was slowly composed, photographed, and processed,” Wozniak says. “It felt magical to weave Tori’s work and vision with my own. We moved from photograph to photograph with an intuitive rhythm, aligned in every shot. The process became a kind of ritual.”
Amos adds, “To work with Kasia and stylist Karen Binns to bring the story and characters to life was a truly moving experience. Seeing our collaborations come to life, with them and the whole team will live with me forever.”
With In Times of Dragons, Amos once again brings the political and the personal together in a work that resonates with the urgency of modern times.
