Noah Kahan Releases The Great Divide and Expands 2026 World Tour

Today, 2x GRAMMY®-nominated, multi-platinum superstar Noah Kahan releases one of the year’s most eagerly-awaited albums, The Great Divide, out now via Mercury Records—listen HERE.

Reflecting on the journey behind the album, Kahan shares: “It is hard to even begin to describe what these last few years making this album has felt like. The collision of fear and pressure and joy and luck and total love has left me wordless. I spent many months walking forward in complete darkness, hands out in front of me, desperate to touch something familiar that would show me I was near the light switch again. I was never really alone. I don’t think any of us ever truly are. I was guided through the wilderness by calm voices, by the stillness of my home state, by the total commitment of my band, producers, and team, by the steady and loving touch of my wife and family, and of course, by the constant and enduring encouragement of my fans. I am very proud of what we are doing together, and I hope we can live this dream for a long long time.”

Produced by acclaimed producer and Stick Season collaborator Gabe Simon (Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, Koe Wetzel) and GRAMMY®-winning producer Aaron Dessner (Taylor Swift, Bon Iver), the 17-track album features hit singles “The Great Divide” and “Porch Light.” It was recorded at Fire Tower Farm outside of Nashville, Gold Pacific Studios in Nashville, Dessner’s famed Long Pond Studio in New York, and Guilford Sound in Vermont.

Kahan kicked off the week with his long-awaited performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk, where he delivered stripped-back renditions of album tracks “American Cars,” “The Great Divide,” and “Paid Time Off,” as well as Stick Season-fan favorite, “Orange Juice.” Watch the full performance HERE.

Then last night to celebrate the album’s arrival, Kahan joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to discuss the new album, while cracking jokes with Jimmy, delving into the album creation process and sharing what fans can expect from The Great Divide.

Following his interview on The Tonight Show, Kahan attended this year’s TIME100 Gala in New York City, after being named among the TIME100: Most Influential People of 2026. He was honored by Marcus Mumford, who wrote: “Musically, he brings us closer to our humanity in the same way some of the great ’60s folk songwriters did: pairing lyrics set in a particular space and time with traditionally infused pop melodies like Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell at their best. Noah paints scenes of his own experience that resonate broadly. We can access the universality of our feelings through the individuality of his storytelling.”

Up next, Kahan is set to return to Saturday Night Live as musical guest on May 9th, performing alongside fellow New Englander and host Matt Damon. The appearance marks his first return to the show since his 2023 debut.

Noah Kahan: Out of Body, which debuted globally on Netflix last week, has struck a chord with both critics and fans alike. The documentary first received the 24 Beats Per Second Audience Award when it premiered at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival, and has already garnered significant acclaim, with Rolling Stone declaring, “The 94-minute documentary follows Kahan closely as he becomes a stadium-level superstar, and it doesn’t flinch from showing the challenges that went along with his astonishing rise,” The Hollywood Reporter noting, “What could’ve been a straightforward tour documentary is instead an intimate look at Kahan’s relationships with himself, his family and his beloved home of New England,” and Variety adding, “Throughout ‘Out of Body,’ Kahan is a fascinating mixture of rock-star confidence and small-town-lad humility, and again establishes himself as one of pop’s funniest and most self-deprecating quipsters, even as he leads fans through dark moments he hopes will shed some light on their own.” Additionally, Roger Ebert awarded the film 3/4 stars and hailed it as, “Remarkably vulnerable and focused…It’s not a typical hagiographic music doc in that it actually tears down as much as it elevates.”

Kahan will bring The Great Divide on the road beginning this summer on his highly anticipated The Great Divide World Tour. With over 1.5 million tickets sold to date, the tour will kick off with a sold-out stadium run across North America in June before heading to Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe this fall. The North American leg includes four record-breaking nights at Boston’s Fenway Park—making Kahan the first artist in history to play and sell out four shows at the iconic venue. Due to overwhelming global demand, additional arena dates have been added in London, Dublin, Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland and are on sale now. See the full list of tour dates below.
