Freaky Deaky NOLA Comes to Mardi Gras World This Halloween

A new Halloween tradition is coming to New Orleans. This October 30 and 31, Encore Entertainment, Amps Events, Metropolitan NOLA, and Disco Presents are joining forces to bring Freaky Deaky NOLA to Mardi Gras World for two nights of dance music, next-level outdoor production, and unforgettable Halloween experiences.

“I threw my first underground events here more than 30 years ago, and this city will always be my first love. There's no place quite like New Orleans, especially on Halloween. New Orleans is a part of my DNA, and Freaky Deaky has grown into one of the most recognizable brands we've ever built. Partnering with Hell's Gala felt like a natural fit. They understand what makes NOLA special, and together we're creating something that honors the city's culture while delivering the kind of Halloween experience dance music fans have come to expect from Freaky Deaky.”

— James “Disco Donnie” Estopinal Jr., Founder of Disco Presents

Long regarded as America's #1 Halloween destination, New Orleans provides the ideal backdrop for a festival built around the strange and spectacular. Set against the iconic scenery of Mardi Gras World, Freaky Deaky NOLA will feature two stages and the kind of high-caliber outdoor festival production that has been sorely missed since the crescent city lost Buku and Voodoo. For years, these three promoters have cultivated a thriving Halloween dance music culture in New Orleans, producing events that have drawn fans from across the country. Now collaborating, they bring together over 50 years of combined expertise to create an elevated experience that is far larger than any event they’ve individually produced in the city.

"Hells Gala had an incredible run. We've spent the last several years building Halloween weekend into something fans travel for, and worked with some amazing people who helped bring our vision to life. When the opportunity arose to join forces with Amps Events, Metro NOLA, and Disco Presents, it was clear we had a chance to dream even bigger, and we can't wait to show everyone what we've been working on.”

— Ryan Roach, Founder of Encore Entertainment and Boys of the Boot Inc.

"It started with Freakfest in 1998 — my first festival with Disco Donnie, held outdoors at the UNO Lakefront Arena with well over 10,000 people through the gates. Nearly 30 years later, we're bringing Freaky Deaky New Orleans outdoors to the iconic Mardi Gras World. Partnering with Disco Donnie and the Hell's Gala team to make it happen, and we can't wait to show New Orleans what we've built."

— Rob Brunet, Amps Events

“I’ve been working with Disco Donnie and Amps Events for over a decade, and Ryan and I have known each other since high school. We’ve each built something special over the years, and joining forces felt like the natural next step. We’re bringing together great friendships, years of experience, and a shared love for New Orleans to create an unforgettable Halloween weekend.”

— Michael Ibarra, General Manager, The Metropolitan
