Goose Closes Two-Night Charleston Run with Oldies, Goodies, and Jaw-Dropping Jams

After an unforgettable first night at Firefly Distillery in Charleston, South Carolina, Goose returned to close out the two-night stand with a set-list full of longtime fan favorites, deep cuts, and an unexpected cover that had fans buzzing long after the final notes faded.

The evening kicked off with the energetic "Turbulence & The Night Rays," which immediately brought the sold-out audience to its feet. Smiles stretched across faces as the band effortlessly transitioned into "Honeybee," making its long-awaited return after a seventy two show absence, having last been played on June 11, 2025. The rarity sent longtime fans into celebration before Goose kept the momentum rolling with the infectious groove of "Hot Love & The Lazy Poet."

The mood shifted as the band eased into a beautiful rendition of Bon Iver's "AUATC," a cover that had become so beloved within the Goose community that many newer fans might not have realized it wasn't an original. The seamless transition back into "Hot Love & The Lazy Poet" showcased the band's ability to weave songs together into one continuous musical journey.

Never content to remain predictable, Goose moved into "Lead Up" before launching into a fast-paced "Echo of a Rose" that had the entire field dancing and singing at the top of their lungs. It genuinely felt like most of Charleston could hear the audience joining in.

To close the opening set, the band delivered an emotional "Everything Must Go." Beyond its soaring improvisation, the song served as a reminder of the magic we all carried within ourselves and how even the smallest acts of kindness and love could transform the world around us. It was a fitting conclusion to a first set that balanced high-energy jams with heartfelt moments.

After a brief set break and a chance for fans to cool off after two sweltering South Carolina nights, Goose returned to the stage ready to ignite the crowd once again. They opened the second set with an unfinished twenty seven minute exploration of "Thatch," taking the audience on an adventurous, improvisational ride.

Rather than resolving "Thatch" as many expected, Goose surprised fans by debuting the night's only selection from their new album Big Modern!, "Good2B." The crowd erupted as many concertgoers experienced the song live for the first time.

Just when everyone anticipated the return to "Thatch," the band threw another curve ball by launching into the rarely performed Bruce Hornsby classic "The Way It Is." The unexpected cover quickly became one of the evening's highlights, with Goose stretching the song into a soaring jam that delighted longtime fans and sent the audience into another frenzy.

The second set concluded with the always-welcome "Jive II," which set the stage for one final twist. For the encore, Goose closed the Charleston run in spectacular fashion with "Jive Lee," and completed a night filled with vintage favorites, unexpected bust-outs, and some of the most adventurous improvisation of the tour.
