Brighton-based composer and producer Gabriel Zingiber returns July 24 with “Lighthouse,” an ambitious new single from FPV Records that stretches across 8 minutes and 37 seconds of progressive rock, Brazilian fusion, and high-fidelity songcraft.
Mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, “Lighthouse” rejects the hyper-compressed constraints of the modern short-content era in favor of a sweeping, immersive journey. The track shifts between explosive power and delicate introspection, drawing from the syncopated rhythmic DNA of Zingiber’s Brazilian motherland while nodding to the large-scale conceptual tracking styles pioneered by 1970s British progressive rock bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Yes.
“Lighthouse” brings Zingiber’s multi-instrumentalist approach to the forefront. Across the recording, he performs vocals, acoustic guitar, electric and 12-string guitars, piano, Hammond organ, synthesizer, bass, harmonica, concert flute, piccolo flute, theremin, percussion, and more. The track is further expanded by Eduardo Dolzan on drums, Vanessa Blacksmith on cello, viola, and vocal harmonies, choir direction by Oluwatosin Ajewole, and a featured performance by Dynamic House Choir.
The result is a wide-reaching composition filled with phaser textures, reversed guitar movements, string ensemble, gospel choir, and a solid rhythm section, all serving a song built as a modern epic rather than a conventional single.
Zingiber first gained international attention with the instrumental single “Under a Mango Tree,” written, recorded, mixed, and arranged by the artist himself. The track blended rock and vernacular traditions, earning praise for its folk-rock spirit, flute melodies, and experimental folk and soft rock fusion.
With his more recent single “Marigold,” Zingiber moved further into vocal-led territory while retaining his detailed approach to arrangement. The track featured baroque-inspired instrumentation including piano, Mellotron, Hammond organ, fretless bass, cello, and viola, landing in a space between pop and classical while balancing pastoral beauty with melancholy.

“Lighthouse” continues that evolution on a larger scale, presenting Zingiber as a composer, arranger, producer, and performer working outside easy genre boundaries.
“Lighthouse” will be released July 24, 2026, via FPV Records.
