88.5 KGNU presents Los Lobos at the Boulder Theater on Sunday, February 28, 2027. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Reserved seated tickets and general admission standing-room tickets are available. The show is all ages, with anyone under 16 required to attend with an adult.

It’s a matter of time—50 years, to be exact. In that time, Los Lobos has created an unprecedented body of work and a legacy of greatness.
The numbers are staggering: more than 100 gigs a year for five decades running, crossing millions of miles to perform for millions of fans. Between tours, the band has recorded 17 studio albums, seven live albums, three compilations, two EPs, and two DVDs, while contributing more than 40 guest appearances to friends’ recordings.
That body of work has earned Los Lobos four Grammy Awards, an Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction, the ALMA Ritchie Valens Pioneer Award, honors from the National Endowment for the Arts and Hispanic Heritage Foundation, congressional recognition, and countless “Keys to the City” and “Los Lobos Day” celebrations.
Beyond the acclaim is the tremendous heart behind the music. Five blood brothers have dedicated their time away from the stage to helping others, working for peace and justice, and writing some of the most literate and important music of their era. Their songs transform the hard cries of the East Los Angeles barrio into songs of hope and stories of ordinary people finding ways to endure.
The young Wolves were shaped by late-night radio’s soul, R&B, and doo-wop, as well as the African American currents of blues, jazz, and rock ’n’ roll. As proud Chicanos, their music has always carried the influence of Mexican and Latin American traditions, including norteña, rancheras, bolero, cumbia, son huasteco, and son jarocho.
Los Lobos has helped spread that rich diversity of cultures around the world. Through songs like “La Bamba” and a catalog rooted in East Los Angeles, the band has served as a cultural ambassador across generations and continents.
In the true rebel spirit, Los Lobos did it all on its own terms and against formula. Quite simply, the band remains one of the tightest, most prolific, and most enduring groups in American music.
Remarkably, the original founding members have remained together throughout the band’s history. As the liner notes put it, Los Lobos still are David Hidalgo, Louie Pérez Jr., Cesar Rosas, Conrad Lozano, and Steve Berlin.
