The annual Rex Foundation Benefit will return to The Fillmore in San Francisco on December 5, 2026, with a special two-set performance by Grahame Lesh and Friends.
This year’s gathering, Love Will See You Through, brings Grahame Lesh back into the Rex Foundation family in a full-circle moment. His father, Phil Lesh, was one of the founders of Rex and supported the organization through numerous benefit performances over the years.
For the December show, Grahame has assembled a group of musicians with deep ties to the Terrapin Crossroads community and to the various incarnations of Phil Lesh & Friends.
The lineup includes John Molo on drums, Holly Bowling on keyboards, Stu Allen on vocals and guitar, Barry Sless on guitar, Elliott Peck on vocals, and Grahame Lesh on vocals and one of his father’s bass guitars.
The musicians have a long history of playing together, and many were part of the musical community that grew around Terrapin Crossroads. For fans who spent time at the San Rafael venue, the lineup will be immediately familiar.
Love Will See You Through will also include a pre-show VIP reception with food, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, along with reserved table seating and a silent auction featuring rare pieces from the Rex Foundation archive.
The benefit comes during a year that Rex Foundation describes as both difficult and meaningful. The organization has continued to receive support from musicians, bands, and fans through benefit shows, ticket donations, and direct contributions.
That support has included performances benefiting Rex throughout the year, including the organization’s August event at the Greek Theatre with Dark Star Orchestra.
The Rex Foundation continues to support nonprofit organizations through its grantmaking work, while maintaining the community-centered spirit that has defined the organization since its beginnings within the Grateful Dead family.
