Colorado Reggae Rock band, Bonfire Dub, releases a long anticipated new single “Never Settle” – the first of more to come. They are celebrating with tour dates including a keynote speech by Scotty Stoughton, band frontman.

Never Settle

The release of “Never Settle” comes highly anticipated, as Bonfire Dub has been performing the song for some time now. They are finally ready to officially record and release it.

“The original inspiration came from meeting my wife. It took me a long time to find my human, and I was tempted many times in the past to settle down,” Bonfire Dub frontman Scotty Stoughton says. Upbeat, tender, and liberating, “Never Settle” offers an anthem to love, freedom, and a dedication to your dreams.

“Like all the pursuits in my life, I always focus on staying intentional and never stopping before I realize my dream. This song keeps me grounded and believing in the dream, finding success in failure, and staying the course. It is usually much easier to settle. You are usually pressured into settling, so in this song, I attempt to remind myself and my community to Never Settle!” - Scotty Stoughton

Colorado Tour

In between announcing the 11th Season of WinterWonderGrass Steamboat, and producing Renewal with Billy Strings at The Meadows in Buena Vista, Bonfire Entertainment founder and Bonfire Dub frontman, Scotty Stoughton, will take some time with his band mates to do the thing that fuels his energy for these professional, and often energetically taxing, endeavors: play music.

Bonfire Dub will play a free show at Snow Bowl Steamboat’s Summer Music Fest on Wednesday, September 6th from 6:30 - 9:30 pm, celebrating the release of their new single “Never Settle.” Food, music, drinks, dogs, and all ages welcome!

On September 14, Bonfire Dub will play a free show at The Lariat, in Buena Vista, where the following weekend Stoughton will switch hats as he produces the Billy Strings Renewal Festival at the Cottonwood Meadows.

Stoughton will attend the Outdoor Industry Summit in Leadville on September 15, hosted by The Colorado Central Mountain Small Business Development Center (CMSBDC) as one of two keynote speakers. The Summit will revolve around sustainability and encouraging responsible tourism in Central Colorado. Stoughton’s speech will identify the bond between humanity and nature, as well as offer insights on how to preserve it for future generations. Bonfire Dub will also perform during the Summit’s final event, the freight train afterparty.

Sweet and Simple

Bonfire Dub plays a powerful, yet sweet and simple blend of chilled out reggae rock. A medley of original songs with rich melodies, featuring downtempo, acoustic laced and electric driven reggae, folk and dub. Lead vocalist and lyricist, Scotty Stoughton is inspired by eastern philosophy, indigenous struggles, political injustice, international relief efforts and a deep respect for the soul of love and the balance of nature, reflected in the songs.

Stoughton is the lead vocalist, lyricist and acoustic guitar player for Bonfire Dub, with Rodney James Coquia on electric guitar, Jeff Armistead on the keyboard, Mark Levy on percussion, and Trevor Noel Gagstetter on bass.
