San Francisco’s beloved Crucial Reggae Sundays continues to bring free, family-friendly reggae music to Golden Gate Park every Sunday from 4:20 pm to 7:30 pm at the historic Bandshell in the Music Concourse (75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive). Hosted by Irie Dole (Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi), Guidance (Infinite Guidance Sound/Nice Up Radio), and DJ Sep (Dub Mission), the series features guest performers and DJs from across the reggae spectrum.

Looking ahead, October brings a full day of reggae programming on October 19 (12 pm – 7:30 pm) with Blakkamoore & Yungg Trip, Roommate, Sista Sara and more, followed by Lustre Kings’ Vinyl Throwdown on October 26.
Produced by Illuminate LIVE in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, Crucial Reggae Sundays is part of Illuminate’s larger free music series in the park. This year, the Bandshell will host more than 125 free concerts, spanning reggae, jazz, funk, soul, rock, and more on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday afternoons, plus select Saturdays, through mid-November. Since its launch, Illuminate LIVE has transformed the 125-year-old Bandshell into a hub for diverse sounds and legendary performances, drawing nearly 1 million music lovers to over 600 shows in Golden Gate Park’s Music Concourse.
