Goose continued their spring 2026 European tour this week with a pair of highly anticipated shows at Melkweg in Amsterdam on May 27 and 28. Playing to capacity crowds across both nights, the band returned to the beloved venue for the first time since their fall 2023 European run, delivering two high-energy performances that balanced new material, catalog staples, and well-placed covers.

Night one opened with a bouncy "Rockdale," which quickly segued into "Torero," the recently released single from Goose's forthcoming studio album Big Modern!, due June 12. The first set continued with the full "Seekers on the Ridge" pairing, bringing the intricate storytelling and soaring guitar lines of Parts I and II to the Amsterdam crowd before the band moved into David Byrne and Brian Eno's "Strange Overtones." The cover carried added resonance inside the current Big Modern! chapter, with its themes of humans navigating technology landing comfortably within the band's present creative world.

From there, Goose pushed into "Spirit Of The Dark Horse," a resurgent catalog staple that eventually yielded the conclusion of "Rockdale," tying the set back to its opening movement. "Hot Tea" closed the frame with a full-room singalong, giving the first night its clearest communal peak before setbreak.

Set Two began with Peter Anspach's "Red Bird," opening the second half on a patient, melodic note before the EDM-infused pulse of "Slow Ready" sent the room into motion. The jam slid into Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" before returning to "Slow Ready," a playful and effective sequence that leaned into the song's dance-floor architecture. A high-energy "Arrow" closed the show, giving the first Amsterdam night a final improvisational exhale.

Night two kept the pace elevated from the start, opening with a frenetic, unfinished "Drive" that moved directly into the fast version of "Echo of a Rose." "Atlas Dogs" followed before the band settled into "Borne," the opening track from 2022's Dripfield, letting its patient emotional center sit against the heavier momentum of the set's first half. "Earthling or Alien?" brought a dose of space-funk before a powerful "Give It Time" closed Set One.

The second set opened with Fat Freddy's Drop's "Fish In The Sea," giving Goose a wide-open canvas for improvisation before the band moved into a massive "Hungersite." The shimmering harmonies of "This Old Sea" captivated the crowd late in the night, setting up a show-closing "The Empress Of Organos" that kept the energy high through the final notes of the Amsterdam run.

Goose’s momentum continues into the summer with an expansive North American headline tour running from mid-June through late August, featuring some of the most ambitious routing of their career to date. The tour is highlighted by a highly anticipated two-night return to Madison Square Garden on June 19–20, alongside a series of multi-night runs in key markets including Virginia Beach, Charleston, Raleigh, Boston, Saratoga Springs, Bend, and a culminating two-night stand at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 27–28. Additional marquee plays include single-night stops at Merriweather Post Pavilion and Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, reinforcing the band’s steady ascent into premier venues nationwide. Select dates will see Goose joined by a diverse lineup of special guests—including Julian Lage, The Disco Biscuits, moe., Greensky Bluegrass, and Buffalo Traffic Jam. $1 from every ticket sold will benefit the Western Sun Foundation, supporting grassroots nonprofits in the cities the band visits.
