On March 3 & 4, Jon Fishman of Phish, George Porter Jr. (Meters) & Cyril Neville will come together for 2 nights of shows in Portland, ME to raise money for the Maine charity, Go Big For Hunger (gobigforhunger.com).  Go Big For Hunger was founded in spring 2016 by life-long Mainer and live music madman, Greg Martens. He was inspired by Imagine There's No Hunger, a global campaign created to realize John Lennon's vision for a world without hunger. Following Yoko Ono, Jerry Garcia Foundation, and Hard Rock Cafe's lead, Martens implemented his creative, local-level solution to fight childhood hunger in Maine. Go Big is an all-volunteer effort. 100% is channeled to frontline feeding efforts, through Maine-based Full Plates Full Potential.

On March 3, the two-night bacchanalia convenes at Sun Tiki Studios for the pre-jam, hosted by the dead tribute act Band Beyond Description and featuring the aforementioned line up of legends.  Only 100 tickets are being sold for the pre-jam (limited capacity!).  On March 4, the party will move to Bayside Bowl for the Big Jam, hosted by The Maine Dead Project.  Over the two nights, additional guests include members of SeepeopleS, Rustic Overtones, Frank Blinkal, Hambone, plus some surprise guests and more!  Stay tuned for after-party info at Go Big For Hunger's site, and please see the venue websites for ticket info.
