On December 17th, 2021, Kareeta, a new country rock band, shares its debut album worldwide. Kareeta rose from the swamps and southern delta heat during the uncertain Spring of 2020. Emerging as a fully formed amalgamation of the music that shaped its core, the band assembled in California and recorded their debut LP in Oakland with producer and musician Greg Loiacono (Mother Hips, Green Leaf Rustlers) at the controls. The music is an all-night drive pushing you deeper into the dial with broken characters and stories of red sky redemption silhouetting every ache.
Kareeta was born in quarantine during the pandemic of 2020. The members allied together, collaborating and crafting the songs for the first album. After home demos were sent for feedback, the group was invited to record by Loiacono, whose steady command drove the process to completion.
"I had a great time making this record. The band was super tight and easy to work with in the studio, and the songs are excellent. Chuck has a way of really painting a picture with his story-telling. The lyrics and the powerhouse rhythm section are what engaged me right away. Getting to produce this album has been such a pleasure," says Loiacono. Special guests on the album include Loiacono himself, Danny Eisenberg (Mother Hips, Anders Osborne, Ryan Adams), Adam MacDougall (Circles Around The Sun), Steven Barnes (Los Angeles session musician) and Moana Avvenenti (Los Angeles session musician). The album was recorded at Coyote Hearing in Oakland and Chill Hill Studios in San Francisco, CA and mixed by David Simon-Baker and mastered by Anthony Puglisi.
Kareeta last played to a sold out crowd at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco with The Mother Hips on December 18th, and has a robust touring schedule in the works for 2022.
