Neal Francis returns to Denver with his Return To Zero Tour. The Chicago-based singer, songwriter, and pianist has built a reputation for visionary, analog-driven music that fuses timeless rock & roll with ’70s-era dance grooves. His new album Return To Zero is his most ambitious work yet, pairing heavy guitar riffs with lush, pulsating rhythms in a moodier, funk-meets-rock landscape.
Francis’ third studio LP follows his 2023 live double album Francis Comes Alive and 2021’s acclaimed In Plain Sight, praised for its throwback big-band funk and swamp rock spirit. Since his 2019 debut Changes, Francis has headlined sold-out shows worldwide, supported acts like Wilco, Black Pumas, and My Morning Jacket, and performed at Bonnaroo, Fuji Rock, Lollapalooza, and even Carnegie Hall.
Return To Zero was co-produced with longtime collaborator Sergio Rios and recorded live with Francis’ touring band, alongside contributions from Say She She, Eric Krasno, Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age), Elliot Bergman (Wild Belle), and more. The result is a dazzlingly original, analog-rich soundscape that embodies Francis’ lifelong fascination with the line between funk and rock.
