The winner of the 2025 Old Settler’s Youth Talent Competition was Ira Thorne Clifton from Austin, Texas who will be performing at next year’s festival. The Youth Talent Competition encourages a new generation of roots musicians by offering performance opportunities and exposure at the festival. The tradition began more than 19 years ago when four-time GRAMMY Winner Sarah Jarosz took first place. The competition continues to be a fertile ground for the development of young artists.

The late-night campfire jams, family-friendly activities, the best in Americana, roots, and bluegrass music made this festival one for the record. Old Settler’s is proud to continue their mission as a nonprofit: bringing the legacy of American roots music to a new generation while preserving the strong culture of family, friends, and community that defines Old Settler’s.
