MakerParkRadio is thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Roots Fest, taking place on July 22 at Maker Park, Staten Island, as a part of its popular Summer Music series.

The music extravaganza will feature the awe-inspiring soul music of Eli "Paperboy" Reed and his band, fresh off their appearance at the Grand Ole Opry. Known for his compelling interpretations of classic R&B, Reed promises to bring the soulful spirit of the deep south to the shores of Staten Island.

Sharing the stage will be The Freddy DeBoe Band, led by the charismatic Freddy DeBoe, a celebrated musician known for his touring performances with famed southern soul legend Lee Fields. DeBoe's funky, soul-infused style is sure to keep the audience grooving.

Adding to the dynamic lineup is B-Mack, the band of Bruce Mack, a versatile blues, soul, and funk musician. Mack, formerly of the Black Rock Coalition and the Burnt Sugar Orchestra, never fails to deliver thrilling performances that ignite the crowd.

Kicking off the event will be local performers Brewster Moonface, headlined by the enchanting vocalist Julie Notwicz, who will set the tone for the evening with their sweet and sultry blues.

In addition to the outstanding musical talent, the festival will host local market vendors, offering an array of unique, locally-crafted products. Food and beverages will be available from local favorites like Shorty’s Roti Shop, The Burrito Bar, and Flagship and Killsboro breweries, making it an experience for both music and food lovers alike.

The Roots Fest is a celebration of community and music, creating an environment that is welcoming to all. The event is designed to be all ages, pet-friendly, and family-friendly, so the whole family can enjoy a day of great music and local flavors.

Tickets are available at $15 both at the door and online, providing an affordable way to enjoy this unforgettable music experience.

We invite all music lovers, families, and community members to join us at the 3rd Annual Roots Fest, as we unite to celebrate our local music scene, our community, and the power of soulful, inspiring music.
