Sweetwater Music Hall has a full late-summer and early-fall calendar ahead, with highlights ranging from David Nelson Band & Friends and Moonalice to Black Uhuru, Lukas Nelson & Friends, Spafford, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, and Old Crow Medicine Show.
The Mill Valley venue, located at 19 Corte Madera Avenue, is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization and intimate live music venue. Established in 1972, Sweetwater presents all genres of music and supports youth education, community programming, and access to the arts.
Among the Grateful Dead and jam-oriented highlights is David Nelson Band & Friends with Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band on September 10, a benefit for the After School Bluegrass Club Program presented by the California Bluegrass Association and Help’s On the Way.
Moonalice will play an early Sunday matinee on September 6, while Spafford settles in for two nights, September 29 and 30.
Another standout arrives September 28, when Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Out of the Park and Music Heals International present Lukas Nelson & Friends featuring Grahame Lesh, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Holly Bowling, John Molo, and Paul Beaubrun. A portion of proceeds will benefit Sweet Relief and Furthur Foundation.
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Out of the Park will also bring AJ Lee & Blue Summit to Sweetwater on October 2, followed by Old Crow Medicine Show with Ismay on October 3.
