The Lowest Pair Release “Tiny Rebellions” From First Album in Six Years

Acclaimed alt-folk duo The Lowest Pair has released the powerful new single “Tiny Rebellions,” off of their forthcoming album Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be. The album was produced by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket, Neko Case) and is set for release on January 23rd.

“Tiny Rebellions” is bit of a stylistic departure for Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee (aka The Lowest Pair), who have become known for their tender roots-based sound. The song features thundering percussion and haunting vocal harmonies on top of an evocative soundscape. Lyrically, “Tiny Rebellions” circles around the intense moment when love rushes back into a person’s life with the hope of possible reckoning and renewal. It leans into the often-overlooked optimism that can be buried in the darkest of places. Listen to “Tiny Rebellions” HERE.

Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be is The Lowest Pair’s first studio album in six years  and finds the celebrated duo expanding their sonic palette without losing the captivating minimalism that has defined their sound. The album contains 10 songs that do not seek to escape life’s problems but instead sit with them and find the wonder in uncertainty and grace in imperfection. The Lowest Pair remind us that love, grief, joy, disappointment, failure and renewal are all part of the same beautiful cycle, one that affects but also interconnects us all.

The Lowest Pair will embark on a European Tour in January and February 2026. The band has just announced some Northwestern US dates, with more to come soon. See full list of tour dates below.
