Darling Blue wrapped up an exciting 2025 for King and was deemed one of “Nashville's Best Albums of 2025” by The Tennessean. The record traces the peaks and valleys of King's mind, reflecting his love for the Blue Ridge Mountains and his state of mind before and after meeting his wife, Briley. Forbes praised the album as “a collection of standout tunes that straddle the line between old-school rock rowdiness and time-tested country twang,” while Country Central complimented its “signature, undefined flair of Southern steadiness.”
Diving deeper into the world of Darling Blue, King continues to tell his story from the other side of addiction, temptation and heartbreak with No Room For Blue. Blending elements of heavy rock, bluegrass, country, blues and Americana, the new songs reflect a shift toward clarity and growth, capturing a renewed sense of purpose as he works to free himself from the toxicities in his life.
The extended collection includes three reimagined tracks: a revamped version of fan-favorite “Delilah,” a duet with fellow guitar savant Billy Strings on “Dirt – Macon version” and a cover of The Allman Brothers' “Ramblin' Man,” a staple in King's live shows. The remaining nine tracks explore walking the line between letting go of old love and addiction, and how he's evolved on the other side of it.
Last Friday (4/24), The Marcus King Band “sent their blistering, red-hot sounds sailing off over the Stagecoach grounds” (Billboard). Billboard also noted, “For Stagecoach fans who appreciated a devotion to musicality and grizzly, bluesy guitar riffs, King's set was a must-see,” while Rolling Stone shared “Marcus King and his band showcased their wild, blues-heavy guitar riffs and his signature sound."
King and his powerhouse band will continue to take their music on the road with the Waltz Across Texas Tour, visiting seven cities across the Lone Star State this May. Next, they will embark on a 39-city run on the Darling Blue Pt. 2 Tour, visiting major markets like New York City, Chicago, Boston and Atlanta, highlighted by Marcus King Band and Friends, a hometown show at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium on May 27. This summer, The Marcus King Band will make stops at more coveted festivals including Gulf Coast Jam, Summerfest, Under The Big Sky Festival, Bourbon & Beyond and more.
