The inaugural Earl Scruggs Music Festival, scheduled for September 4-5, 2020 in Mill Spring, North Carolina, is still moving forward in these uncertain times. Festivals everywhere have been hard hit by a summer of cancellations and an atmosphere of uncertainty, but we all will need to gather again soon. In the meantime, the Earl Scruggs Music Festival is proud to present A Month of Mondays, a series of lively livestreamed interviews between the festival’s artistic director Steve Johnson of SJ21 Music and select performers from the festival.
Renowned singer and songwriter Edie Brickell pays tribute to her friend, legendary musician and activist Willie Nelson, with new duet, “Sing To Me, Willie,” debuting today in celebration of Nelson’s 87th birthday. On Monday, the fourth week of A Concert A Day kicks off with Miya Folick, one of the most memorable sets of Pickathon 2019. The L.A. dark pop balladeer, known for her soaring vocals and unmitigated on-stage energy, once used Tinder to put together her band. Monday’s stream of Folick’s Woods Stage performance will be hosted by Paste Magazine’s Ellen Johnson. Acclaimed roots-gospel duo The War and Treaty (Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Blount-Trotter) also played the Woods Stage in 2018.
11E1even Group, in conjunction with Nugs.tv and Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, is proud to announce the artist lineup for week-six of the new digital content series, "Live From Out There.” This unprecedented virtual festival has now raised close to $300k for artists and crews affected by loss of work due to COVID-19.
The Birchmere concert hall in Alexandria, VA is a great space to see live music. The main performance room seats 500 and with seating on a first-come, first-seated basis, you can be as close to the band as the length of a dining table.
During the years I lived in town I got to see some major classic rock acts - Ray Davies, Peter Wolf, George Thorogood, and the Marshall Tucker Band - all from the front row. I’ll throw Greg Brown in there too, even though he doesn’t fall into the classic rock genre.

This evening, April 23rd, Portland, OR’s own Fruition premieres a pro-shot full length concert film that captures the biggest headline show of their career. Tonight caps a five week run of weekly hangs with their fans on their Facebook page called “The Thursday Thing with Fruition”. Each of the bands’ three singers Mimi Naja, Kellen Asebroek, and Jay Cobb Anderson have hosted a Thursday night, playing Fruition originals, covers, and solo tunes from their homes.
