Labor Day marks a transition back to school, work, and the daily grind of life. And it’s for this reason that NYC-based funk band Jeremy Beck & the Heavy Duty Horns will release their new single, “Mountain,” on Labor Day Monday, September 6, 2021.
“I started with the idea of total personal self-confidence,” says Beck, in reference to his inspiration for the song. “Being able to conquer anything. I hope ‘Mountain’ will inspire listeners to keep striving for anything they want to get out of life.”

Hot, dry summer winds buffeted a sold-out audience at the Vina Robles Amphitheater in Paso Robles on Saturday, August 14th. The mostly older audience gathered early at the venue, one of the most beautiful in all of California. The occasion was a night of Latin flavored rock featuring the Los Angeles-based Los Lobos and the Miami flavored Tejano group, The Mavericks.
Don Everly, half of The Everly Brothers duo with his brother Phil, died Saturday in Nashville at age 84. The Everly Brothers are Country Music Hall of Fame members, inducted in 2001, and were instrumental in shaping rock and roll with such global classics as "Bye Bye Love," "Wake Up, Little Susie," and "All I Have To Do Is Dream." The Everly Brothers were also members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry.
