Chris Combs – In Session: Live at The Church Studio, a new album from acclaimed musician, composer and producer, Chris Combs, is out this Friday, Aug. 15. The record will be available in Vinyl, CD and digital formats (pre-order here) and on all major streaming platforms. A release party is scheduled for Fri. Aug. 15 at the Colony, 2809 S. Harvard, Tulsa, beginning at 9 PM. 1st Verse, Tea Rush and several additional guests will perform with Combs and a full band.

Today, the Pennsylvania-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter Langhorne Slim released “Dream Come True” via Dualtone Records, his first release of new music this year. The song was produced by Greta Van Fleet’s Sam Kiszka and features his bandmates Danny Wagner on drums and Jake Kiszka, who co-wrote the song, on background vocals.

Legendary funk sextet Lettuce is releasing a cover of Keni Burke’s “Rising to the Top,” along with an accompanying music video, out today on all platforms. The single comes in anticipation of Lettuce’s forthcoming LP, Cook, due December 3 via the band’s own Lettuce Records. Burke, the one-time Five Stairsteps member, released “Rising to the Top” in 1982, and Lettuce gives the R&B hit new life in their take on the track.
