Formed in Boulder at the end of 1989, the Colorado slamgrass pioneers took their form of aggressive bluegrass to rock and roll bars at a time when it wasn’t so common, helping Salmon become a pillar of the jam band scene and unwitting architects of the jamgrass genre.

Internationally renowned composer and multi-instrumentalist Yanni rings in the New Year with a new album and the news of a major North American tour, embarking February 2nd in Sarasota, FL, with stops in cities including Atlanta, Denver, Nashville, New Orleans, Los Angeles and more. The world lost one of the most flamboyant and talented singer-songwriter’s on Sunday, when David Robert Jones, known as David Bowie died after a long battle with cancer. David Bowie made music over four decades, with the 70's and 80's being his heyday. There’s something about Grateful Dead tunes that no other song, lyric or melody can really duplicate. There’s something about a Grateful Dead song that reminds you of every happy moment, every smile you’ve seen from a stranger, and makes you want to dance. I was lucky enough to roll in the New Year with that warm, comforting feeling of the Grateful Dead with the longest touring Grateful Dead cover band, and one of my greatest muses, Dark Star Orchestra.
K I M O C K is an exciting, new, intimate ensemble from the father/son duo Steve & John Kimock. They have been composing music over the past year, inspired by SK's new solo album, Last Danger of Frost (out on 3/18), a major departure focusing largely on acoustic/electronic sounds. K I M O C K heads in a new direction, orchestrating musical styles across genres and generations. SK's left hand Bobby Vega is on bass for the debut tour, bringing us deep grooves and tones plus 30-years of chemistry and collaboration, along with special guest vocalist Leslie Mendelson.
