The summer is off to one hot start for Arizona's resident band, Spafford, who have already played debut performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Bonnaroo and Firefly to date. While there is still quite a bit left on the band's schedule through August, today the four-piece shares their extensive fall tour plans.

In its 13th years, Pitchfork Music Festival returns to Union Park, Chicago for another three days of great music July 20th-22nd. Headliners include Tame Impala, Courtney Barnett, Fleet Foxes, War on Drugs, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Chaka Khan. With three stages and 40-plus acts scheduled, this festival offers attendees a full selection of emerging and well-known favorites to check out.

“This recording of the final set at the Warfield Theatre brings to full circle the amazing advent of The Mahavishnu Orchestra In 1971, and its renaissance on this night in San Francisco.” mused the boundary-shattering guitarist John McLaughlin. On his farewell tour of America, which was comprised of 25 concerts, John invited one his favorite musicians,  guitarist Jimmy Herring and his band “The Invisible Whip” to explore the timeless music he had created four decades ago. Several Bay Area musicians who were already friends on and off the stage appeared together at The Fillmore in San Francisco on June 9 to spotlight Blue Rose Music’s stable of artists, and of more importance to raise money and awareness for the Blue Rose Foundation, which commits itself to preschool scholarships for impoverished children.

His regional dialect has become global without being worldly. He is still very relatable and full of soul as he took the audience on a wild ride thru his musical journey of life. While the Sensational Space Shifters band backing him up continued with a smokey sweet guitar solo, he grabbed the tambourine, and it took on an instrumental balance to his vocals. It was no longer a child’s play toy of percussion but a jingling charm added to his one and only Robert Plant vocals; vocals that have come to define what it means to be the lead singer of a band.

The 35th Annual Chicago Blues Fest held on June 8th to the 10th proved to be three days of great blues music, both honoring the past and turning towards the future.

Friday, June 8th was the first full day of Bonnaroo 2018. While hardcore EDM fans were just beginning to take a nap in the hot morning sunshine, early bird music fans were waking up to a full day of activities. Centeroo exploded with life expanding massively with the opening of the main stage area.

Beanstalk Music & Mountains Festival has confirmed their return to Rancho Del Rio in the Vail Valley for 2018. Rancho sits along the banks of the Colorado River nestled into the Rocky Mountains just 2.5 hours west of Denver.

As Monterey woke up for day two of Cali Roots, there was a heavy overcast throughout the neighborhood. Thankfully clouds and thick fog are nothing new to reggae enthusiasts, and the festival proceeded without missing a beat. Day two was a day which focused on roots, both of Reggae and heritage. The artists that played Saturday had a much more thematic tie to family bonds, both those that we are born with, and the family we chose as we go through life.
