On Saturday, January 9, 2021, Boulder Theater will mark 85 years since its opening night in 1936. Boulder Theater remains closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but refuses to let that hamper celebrations. In appreciation of the support their community has shown the venue over the years, and especially of the support shown throughout the pandemic, Boulder Theater is asking that patrons celebrate by donating to their month-long virtual food drive.

Today, Karen Jonas released a stunning rendition of “A Long December” (Counting Crows) with an accompanying music video.  The song and video premiered via American Songwriter, who writes: “reflecting on the past year of canceled tour dates and other plans coming to an end, Karen Jonas was stuck in a strange limbo of hope for a new beginning and what-ifs.”

Magnolia Boulevard has started the new year on a high note by releasing the official music video for “Sister,” the powerful slow-burning standout from last summer’s New Illusion EP.

Titled “2019.11.16 Buffalo, NY”, the release is a newly remastered soundboard recording from the band’s legendary fall 2019 show at Nietzsche’s, Buffalo’s longest-serving music venue.
