Resuming its status as an annual event after several seasons as a biennial, the New York Guitar Festival returns in Spring 2017 with cross-cultural concert programming in celebration of works for guitar. Nonesuch Records releases The Following Mountain, the newest solo album by experimental folk artist, singer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Amidon, on May 26, 2017. Created with producer Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Regina Spektor) and Amidon’s frequent collaborator Shahzad Ismaily, the album represents a new approach for Amidon, who shifts here from his previous norm of re-working traditional folk songs and presents nine wholly original compositions, with some lyrics drawing on traditional sources.

Philly-based indie/alt-reggae rockers Three Legged Fox (3LF) have announced the release of Watch the World, their fifth studio album, available digitally on March 31st, 2017. After years in the shadows, Three Legged Fox returns to the national spotlight well rested and rejuvenated with a brighter, happier sound. The release will celebrate the ten-year milestone of the band’s career, a major accomplishment in an unforgiving industry known for a high turnover rate.
