The San Francisco Giants invite you to join them in celebrating the Grateful Dead Tribute Night 50th Anniversary Celebration! This August, come on out and celebrate the rich legacy of the Dead for one special night at the MetLife Stadium in San Francisco. Members of the original band, as well as member of the Garcia family with be in attendance, and participating in special pre-game events taking place on-field.

Musical titans Bobby Braddock, Willie Dixon, Robert Hunter & Jerry Garcia, Toby Keith, Cyndi Lauper and Linda Perry will become the latest inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization’s 46th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner.  These legendary songwriters wrote such mega-hits as “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” “Hoochie Coochie Man,” “Dark Star,” “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” “Time After Time,” and “Beautiful.” The star-studded induction event is slated for Thursday, June 18th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  Additional special

What do you do with 12 hours booked at the world’s most famous recording studio? You make the most of it! Never a band to play things safe, Umphrey’s McGee surprised their fans and broke the news via Rolling Stone about a special new studio album titled The London Session. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in one day, the innovative group will release The London Session on April 7th.

From the blossoming Colorado music scene comes Analog Son. The brainchild of Jordan Linit (Kinetix/Ableminds) and Josh Fairman (Kinetix), the project incorporates a rotating cast of players including members of the Shady Horns, the Motet, Lettuce, New Mastersounds and Ivan Neville of Dumstaphunk.

Shaky Knees Festival has added five more bands to its already stacked 2015 lineup.

The Everyone Orchestra has announced additional shows for the Eastern states for April and May 2015. Joining conductor Matt Butler in the northeast this April are Drew Emmitt (Leftover Salmon), Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident) [DC and Stroudsburg], Andrew Altman (Railroad Earth), Cris Jacobs (The Bridge), Jesse Harper (Love Canon), and Jay Starling (Love Canon).

Before I saw Joe Russo’s Almost Dead for the first time Monday night, I totally misunderstood the band’s titular pun. I can’t help but laugh at my sheer stupidity, but I thought it was a combination of  “Hey, we’re a Grateful Dead cover band” and “When our drummer parties, we have 911 on speed dial”. But just 15 minutes into Joe Russo’s Almost Dead's first set at the Boulder Theater, it dawned on me.

Musical genius and performer extraordinaire, That1Guy has released his latest track and video, “Bomb Dignity”. The improvised a cappella jam was created with just voice, foot stomping and handclaps, along with old-timey approach and a monstrosity of metal, strings and electronics called, The Magic Pipe. Also, as an added treat, The Magic Pipe controls the sonic manipulation of the vocals live as it’s played and sung.

Under The Willow will head out on tour this Spring saying farewell to Florida, and hello again to Chicago.  The tour will begin in Tampa, the band's home base for the Winter. The band will tour their way through the Southeast and ​the Midwest, landing in Chicago, their native home.
