For over thirty years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American band. The group's distinctive and powerful sound, influenced by adiversity of musical styles, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via such barnburners as “Tuff Enuff” and “Wrap It Up.” Founding member Kim Wilson spearheads the group as it evolves into its newest incarnation. “We started as a straight blues band.” vocalist and harmonica player Wilson says.
In the midst of a non-stop touring run, Girl Talk (aka Gregg Gillis) linked up with legendary Houston producer and DJ OG Ron C to present a screwed and chopped version of Gillis' last full length release, All Day. The remixed version of the album is being titled Purple All Day and is available for download here.

Musicians are encouraged to submit a video of themselves jamming, soloing and shredding to win the chance of playing onstage with bluegrass legend Del McCoury at the first annual Jomeokee Music and Arts Festival this September 14-16, 2012.
