As this month marks the forty-sixth anniversary of Elvis’ death on August 16, 1977, the legions of fans fascinated by the King of Rock & Roll continues to grow. Proof positive was the global success in 2022 of the Warner Brothers film release, Elvis, which drew major box office numbers and critical acclaim worldwide. The desire to know increasingly more about the man behind the legend has never grown dim for both old fans and the continuing new generations of Elvis followers that have come.

11th-annual Watershed Music and Camping Festival hosted the three-day event with fans returning to The Gorge in George, Washington, to see a star-studded lineup including headliners Cody Johnson, Keith Urban and Lainey Wilson.

With the sun shining across the picturesque venue, the three-day festival kicked off on Friday with sets from Carly Pearce, Niko Moon, Wade Bowen, and more. The evening commenced with a stellar performance by Cody Johnson swooning the lively crowd under the starry night sky.

Today Americana UK premieres Jerry Joseph’s “The Man Who Would Be King,” the second single from his forthcoming album, Baby, You’re the Man Who Would Be King, due for release on September 29, 2023, on Cosmo Sex School Records. The track, out today, was recorded in NYC and produced by Eric “Roscoe” Ambel, and features a band made up of some of New York’s best players.

Today, promising Americana-roots-rock band Briscoe releases their second single, the literature-tinged, moving "Sparrows” from their debut album West of It All out September 15th via ATO Records. “Sparrows” follows the band’s first offering “The Well” which is getting a great reaction from radio stations across the board.

The critically acclaimed Allison Russell is taking her 4x GRAMMY-nominated talent on the road for a major U.S. headlining tour. This includes a special performance at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO on November 15th. Tickets for all dates are on sale from Friday, August 11th at 10AM local time.

Psychedelic jam-funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong announced plans for a four-night run through the midwest for this December. The band will kick things off on December 7 in Cleveland, OH with support from Ohio based jamtronica group Broccoli Samurai followed by a stop at Park West in Chicago, IL. The band then teams up with neo-psychedelic quintet Houseplant in Covington, KY at the Madison Theater and closes out the run in Detroit, MI at Saint Andrew’s Hall with the midwest-based jam-pop group The North 41.

The Allman Family Revival initially began as a one-off concert in 2017 at The Fillmore in San Francisco to celebrate the late Gregg Allman’s life on what would have been his 70th birthday. Now in its 7th year, it has since expanded into a full tour that kicks off on November 25 in Saint Louis, MO.

Having just capped a packed summer tour with a 2-night run at Music Box at the Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ, moe. has announced that they will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark album 'Tin Cans and Car Tires’ with a special 2x Sky Blue vinyl reissue of the album, to be released on September 8th.

Cowboy Junkies brought their enchantingly brooding Blues sound to the Lobero Theatre on July 21st as part of the 150th anniversary of the venue. The band took the stage at 8 pm sharp, kicking off the night with a stirring cover of Neil Young’s “Don’t Let It Bring You Down.” The band, which is just as well known for playing covers in their somber style, followed with their hit cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Sweet Jane." From there, the group kept the energy high with each consecutive song.
