Guitarist/singer Dudley Taft announces a May 7 release date for his new CD, Deep Deep Blue, coming from his own American Blues Artist Group Records. On Deep Deep Blue, Taft pulls together his influences – geographical, biographical and musical – and filters them through his blue soul.

WALK WITH ME presents that last recordings done by original drummer Lloyd Knibb who passed away shortly before this album saw release. The 11 tracks on this album are a tribute to all the members who have passed on over the years and is another in long line of outstanding collections from the grandfathers of Reggae and all Jamaican music.

The 24th annual Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival will rock over Memorial Day weekend, May 25-26, at Rancho Santa Susanna Community Park, 5005 Los Angeles Ave., in Simi Valley. The festival features two full stages for each of its musical genres. Music will proceed non-stop each day from 12 noon until 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 (adults 13+) and $15 (children) and are available online at or at the gate. Parking is ample and free. SXSW will spotlight more New Orleans acts than ever next week, a crop that spans everything from jazz, folk and pop to death metal, indie rock and bounce. At the top that list sits New Orleans' ambassadors of funk, Ivan Neville's DUMPSTAPHUNK.

Colorado newgrass quartet Head for the Hills will perform two nights at the Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO on April 26th & 27th.  This will be the group’s first ever headlining two night run in Denver.

KGNU, Boulder Weekly and Z2 Entertainment are proud to present the 21st annual Microbreweries for the Environment benefit featuring Juno What?! to the Boulder Theater on Friday, April 19th, 2013.  Tickets are on sale to the public for $22 in advance and $24 the day of the show.Since 1993, the Microbreweries for the Environment benefit has raised nearly $145,000 for local environmental causes.
